Chapter Two
Cole satin his home office, staring out the window at the lake and trying to process what had just happened with Janie in the kitchen. His muscles grew tight, his breathing was rapid, and his cock hard. All because he’d spanked her pert little ass.
“Fuck,” he whispered. Seeing her dressed in a corset, skirt, and those fuck-me shoes had pushed him close to the edge. And her reminding him of her adult status had launched him over. She was all woman now. When had she grown up?
A bitter laugh left his lips. What was his problem? She’d been at college all these years, of course she’d grown up. Hell, he’d attended her graduation when she’d gotten her bachelor’s degree three years ago. Janie had insisted he didn’t need to come when she’d received her master’s degree a year ago. She'd spent most of her free time with Alicia rather than coming home. But now, having her over his knees, her ass on display ... he closed his eyes. The scents of rose and vanilla teased his senses.
Her thighs had been soft against his hardness, her ass firm, turning a nice pink when he swatted her. Then there’d been her soft moans of pleasure. His dick jumped. Cole forced his eyes open. Time to change the game to his advantage.
Yanking the desk drawer open, he pulled out a legal pad and a folder filled with papers, and grabbed two pens off his desk. Janie was standing in the kitchen with a stunned look on her face. He tossed the items in his hands on the table. “Sit down. We’re going to talk.” He reined in his temper. No, it wasn’t anger, but unrelenting desire flowing through him.
He stared at Janie until she let out a sigh, pulled out a chair, and sat down. A hiss escaped her mouth when her butt hit the wooden chair, and he had to bite back a grin. If only she knew he’d gone light on her. Sitting down, he pulled the legal pad in front of him and picked up a pen. “I need to know how experienced you are in the lifestyle.”
Her eyes narrowed. “I’ve read about it.”
“What kinds of books? About the lifestyle itself, about toys, about the Dom-sub relationship, romances?” He’d seen a romance occasionally on her nightstand. Nothing wrong with it. They just had a tendency to romanticize everything. If he was going to teach her, there wouldn’t be any romance involved. He would teach her, and that was it.
“A few about the lifestyle, mainly romance.”
He nodded; she had a little bit of knowledge. “What about dating?” He scribbled on the legal pad.
“I dated in college.”
“All vanilla boys, I bet.” His jaw clenched, thinking about her with those inexperienced pricks.
“Yep.” She grinned and leaned her arms on the table, and his muscles relaxed.
She wasn’t going to be combative. “Since you have no practical experience, we’re going to take this slow.” When she frowned, he added, “I’m running the show. The sooner you get that, the better off we’ll both be.”
“Fine,” she huffed, sitting back with her arms crossed over her chest.
He nodded, but what was with her body language? “Communication is important, so no holding anything back.”
“I get that.”
“You’d better. Also, I’m in charge.”
“When aren’t you?” she muttered.
He fought against a smile. If she only knew how hard it was to maintain his control around her. Cole picked up the file folder, determined to do this the right way. “I want you to fill this out completely, and then we will discuss it.” He slid the stack of papers over to her.
Janie picked them up and flipped through the multiple pages. “All of them?”
“Yes. This is part of the negotiation for us.” He pushed back from the table and rolled his neck. “I’m going for a run; that will give you time to fill them out.” Cole stopped in the kitchen doorway and glanced at her. “Please change clothes.”
Janie blewout a breath as Cole left the room. His domination was a living, breathing entity. Was she chewing off more than she could handle? Probably. But she wasn’t going to back down, not now that she had gotten Cole to agree to teach her. Or had she?
With a sigh, she picked up the papers and headed for her bedroom. Once there, she changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt before curling up on the window seat with a notebook, the papers Cole wanted her to fill out, and a pen.
Three hours later, Janie stood and stretched. What a questionnaire! She’d answered fewer questions during a job interview. With the papers in hand, she went downstairs, where she found Cole sitting out on the back deck with two glasses of ice tea, a box, and a journal.
“Have a good run?” she asked as she sat on the lounger with the small table between them. At least her ass didn’t hurt anymore; she had just a slight ache to remind her of Cole’s dominance.
“Yes, it was good.” He flashed her a grin. “Finished?”
“Yep.” Holding the questionnaire in her hand, she leaned back and stared over the deck out to the lake. She loved Cole’s house. He’d inherited it from his father, and he owned the land surrounding the house. She was glad she could stay here until she made a decision about where she wanted to live. The man-made lake, the trees, and lots of wildlife. It was nice to be outside the city limits of Olympia, Washington, and feel like you were deep in the woods, yet close enough to go out to dinner and a movie.
“Good.” Cole stood, then pushed her legs over and sat down on her lounger. With a grin, he plucked the papers from her fingers and began flipping through them.
