When the waiter returned with their tea, Dane ordered a variety of items. Regina had no idea what they were, but all sounded delicious. Dane looked at her. “Is Pinot Noir wine okay with you?”

“Yes.”

He finished their order, and the waiter took their menus and walked away.

“It’s your day off,” Dane said.

“Yes. Thank goodness.”

“Right. If you’re up to it, I’d like us to spend some private time together.”

Her breath caught in her throat. While they’d been on dates, Dane hadn’t done more than a few caresses and kisses. Some light kisses and some deep, heavy kisses that made her want to throw caution to the wind.

“What do you have in mind?” She picked up her tea and took a sip. Cinnamon, cloves, and ginger burst upon her tongue. There was another spice she couldn’t identify. Not too sweet, but the spices gave the tea a nice kick.

“Spend the afternoon with me.” He leaned toward her. “I want to learn your body before we play in the club. Learn what you like and dislike.” His voice was soft.

Regina pressed her lips together to prevent herself from squirming in her seat. “I’d like that.” This was a first for her. She never played with anyone outside the club, but there was something about Dane that made her want that quiet time with him.

“No pressure for anything more than you want to give. If everything works out the way I hope, I’d like to play in the club Saturday night.”

“Let’s see how today goes before committing to the club.” The club was her special place. She didn’t play with just anybody. There were certain Doms in the club she stayed clear of, but Dane was more than tempting her. He was like a buffet of all her favorite foods, daring her to take a bit.

The waiter returned with their wine and, a few minutes later, a large tray. He began setting out plates of food before putting an empty plate in front of her and one in front of Dane. “Enjoy. And if you need anything, just let me know.”

Regina stared at the dishes and realized something was missing. “There’s no utensils.”

“No, there aren’t.” Dane grinned and picked up her plate and set it aside. “It’s going to be my pleasure to feed you.”

Her eyes widened. “Feed me?” Her heart pounded in her chest. This was unexpected.

“Yes. That is, if you trust me enough.”

It wasn’t a question; it was a statement. Regina swallowed. She’d never allowed a man to feed her before. Maybe a bit or two from a utensil, but never by hand.

“I promise it will be clean.” He gestured to the small pile of wipes and a small towel.

“I wasn’t worried about that.” As a nurse, hygiene should have been her first thought, but it wasn’t. It was the intimacy of him feeding her. “Let’s try.”

New restaurant, new experience.

Dane inclined his head and reached for one of the wipes. “I made sure everything was mild, but for some, it can still be spicy, so let me know if anything is too spicy, and I’ll ask for it with no heat at all.”

Regina nodded and watched as he picked up what looked like a fried turnover. “This is a Samosa; it contains peas, carrots, and potatoes.” He dipped the small pastry in one of the accompanying bowls of sauce and held it to her lips. She took a bite. Mango burst upon her senses, along with ginger and a hot spice. She blinked, chewed, and swallowed, before taking a sip of water.

“Too spicy?”

“A little. It snuck up on me.”

“Let’s try this.” He dipped the Samosa in a white sauce and held it to her lips.

She took a bite, chewed, and swallowed. “That’s good. It stopped the burning.”

“Raita, a yogurt sauce. The other was a mango chutney.” He picked up another wipe. “Let’s see…let’s try this.” He picked up a piece of flat bread, added some rice and something that looked like a cheese square.

She opened her mouth for the bite. Oh goodness. The lemon and cottage cheese flavors bathed her tongue. “What was that?” she asked after she swallowed.

“Lemon rice and Shahi Paneer. The paneer does have a coating of curry, but it’s light.”
