Page 14 of Claiming Rose

“Take your time. I’m enjoying sitting here with you in my lap.”

She snuggled closer to him, doing very nice things to his manly parts. “I like being held by you.”

How long they sat together on the sofa, Oliver couldn’t say. They would occasionally talk to each other, but just holding her was enough for him.

“Cold?” he asked when she shivered.

“A bit.”

“Sub drop. Do want to get dressed and go home?”

“That would be nice.”

Oliver nodded, then shifted so he could stand with her in his arms.

“I can walk.”

“I like carrying you.” He made his way through the club, then spied Tessa and Damon by the bar and changed directions. “Damon, can I borrow Tessa to help Rose get dressed.”

“Sure.” Damon dropped a kiss on top of Tessa’s head.

“I’m fine,” Rose protested.

Oliver stared down at her and she closed her mouth. At the door to the women’s bathroom, he set her on her feet and made sure she had her balance before letting her go. “Let Tessa help you if she feels you need it.”

“Yes, Sir.” Her eyes sparkled, but her tone was respectful.

“I’ll take care of her,” Tessa said, taking Rose by the arm. They soon disappeared into the ladies room.

Oliver went back into the club. Noah had taken Rose’s clothing and his vest and put it on top of his bag. Oliver said his goodbyes, then grabbed his stuff out of his locker. He threw on a t-shirt, then jogged out to his car and dropped everything inside before going back to wait for Rose.

Rose emerged with Tessa minutes later. She was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. “Thanks for the help, Tessa.”

Oliver’s eyebrows rose as he took the small bag from Rose.

“See you.” Tessa strode back into the club.

Oliver took Rose’s arm and led her to his vehicle, helped her in before dumping her bag in back with his, and climbing in.

“So you did need help,” he said as he pulled out of the lot and onto the road.

“Yes.” She sighed. “I was a little shaky and Tessa helped me get dressed.”

“Then I’m glad she was there.” He wasn’t going to take her to task. Tonight had gone too well.

“I shouldn’t have questioned you.” She let out a sigh. “You were looking out for me, Tessa reminded me. I’m sorry.”

“No need to apologize.” There wasn’t. He would have marched into that bathroom with her if she’d refused anyone’s help, but she didn’t need to know that.

Rose yawned.

“Close your eyes and rest, I’ll wake you when we get home.”

“Thank you.”

Within minutes Rose was asleep and Oliver smiled. This woman was a delight in more ways than one. And tonight she’d been claimed in at least one way. Tomorrow, he’d claim her in his bed.
