But all Kaley saw was the light reflecting off the blade. Her vision grew dark. She couldn’t do this. “Excuse me.” She slipped out of her seat and nearly ran out of the club, never looking back.

In the ladies room, Kaley took big gulps of air. Oh, God. What was she going to do?

“Kaley?” A warm hand touched her shoulder, and she jumped.

“Sorry.” Tessa stood next to her.

“I…” Tears filled her eyes.

Tessa opened her arms and enfolded Kaley in her arms. “It’s okay.” Tessa led Kaley over to the bench and sat down with her. “Does Anthony know you’re afraid of knives?”

“How…” Kaley lifted her head.

“It’s written all over your face.”

“He does. It’s a hard limit.” Kaley rubbed below her breasts as if to sooth a sore spot. “I thought I could watch, but I couldn’t.”

“It’s okay.” Tessa soothed. “One thing Damon was right about is that Anthony’s knife play is a mind fuck.”

“But he could so easily cut the sub. Cause a real injury.”

“He’s good at what he does.” Tessa rubbed her back. “You need to discuss this with him.”

“I don’t know how.” She didn’t. Kaley wanted to be with Anthony, but she wasn’t sure she could ever accept his need for knife play.

“Just talk with him. He’ll understand.”

But would he? Kaley worried Anthony wouldn’t understand at all. Knives were a part of his kink makeup.

“I may be crossing line here, but have you thought about talking to a therapist about it?” Tessa asked.

“I have.”

“I mean a kink friendly therapist.”

Kaley stared at her. “There’s such a thing?”

“Yep. Just a second.” Tessa went to her locker, pulled out her cell phone, and texted someone. Within a few minutes, her phone pinged. “Here. She’s kink friendly.” Tessa handed Kaley her phone.

The therapist’s name jumped out at her. She’d been seeing this therapist for years. Who knew. “Thanks.” She texted herself the information so Tessa wouldn’t know any different. Her next appointment was going to be interesting.

“You’re welcome. Don’t feel pressured about going. I just want every one of us subs to be happy.”

Kaley gave a half-smile. “I am happy with Anthony.”

“Good. Then keep those lines of communication open.” Tessa put her phone back in her locker. “Shall we go back in.”

“Yes.” Kaley stood and ran her hands over her body. “Thanks, Tessa.”

“Anytime.”

Chapter Eighteen

Anthony put his knives in their case and turned to look for Kaley. He didn’t see her. Frowning, he carried his knives to his locker and locked them up. When he came out of the men’s room, he caught sight of Kaley and Tessa standing in the reception area.

“There you are.” He smiled at them.

“Done so soon?” Kaley asked.
