“It doesn’t matter,” Anthony said. It didn’t. Just being with Kaley was enough.
“Let’s take four,” Regina said with a grin.
“Night.” Dane led Regina to the room and shut the door behind them.
Anthony glanced down at Kaley. “We can stay out here until you’re ready to go to bed.” He didn’t want her to feel pressured.
She glanced around the club and shivered. “I’m okay. Let’s go into our room.”
He liked how she said ‘our room’. He guided her to the door, threw it open, and they walked in.
“Oh my.” Kaley’s quiet words held him still.
The room was decorated in red and black. There was an X frame in one corner, a spanking bench in another. Several cabinets and the bed…steel frame with red drapes hanging from the top.
“Not what I was expecting,” Anthony said, closing the door behind them.
“Do you think Dane and Regina knew?”
“I have no idea.” He guided her farther into the room. Any other time he might have been excited by the room, but tonight was about Kaley, not sex and not play.
Two small tables sat near the door, one had water, juice, and two bottles of wine and glasses, and the other food. There was a covered platter and snack food. Kaley’s stomach grumbled
“You didn’t eat before you came tonight,” Anthony commented. At least there were two chairs from the club in the room. He wondered if Max put them in the room before they got here.
“An appointment ran late.”
“Let’s see what we have here.” Anthony released her and pulled the cover off the platter. “Looks like stuff from Lara’s café.”
Kaley come up beside him. “Lara was catering tonight. I was going to grab some food after I got off shift.” She lifted one of the bagel dogs and bit into it. “Still warm. I’m starving.”
“Give me a minute.” He pulled the table out and then arranged the chairs around it. “Your dinner awaits you, my lady.” He bowed and held out a chair for her.
“Thank you, my knight.”
Her words went right to his heart. He wanted to be her knight in shining armor. Not that she needed one, but it stroked his ego.
He sat, and they dug into the food. Bagel dogs, chicken empanadas, and a couple of deli sandwiches. All in all, not a bad dinner. “Dessert?” he asked gesturing toward the plate of brownies and cookies.
“I’m full.” Kaley rubbed her belly. “What time is it?”
Anthony pulled out his phone. “A little after ten.” He tidied up the table and moved it back with the other one. “Water or juice?”
“Water, please.”
He brought her a bottle and then sat back down. “Before Max’s call, you were going to tell me something. What was it?”
Her eyes widened as if she was surprised he remembered. Her mouth opened, and there was a knock at the door. Damn all these interruptions. Anthony opened the door.
“Hi,” Sierra said. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything.”
“Sierra,” Kaley said, standing up. “Thank you for the food.”
“It was nothing.” Sierra held out the bundle in her hands. “I thought you might like to change and not sleep in your clothes. I’m not sure of the fit. They’ll probably be too big.”
“That’s very kind of you.” Anthony took the bundle from her.
“Have a good night.” Sierra walked out the door.
