“Damn, that’s right.”

“I can drive you home if you wish, or I’ll find you a ride.”

“I would appreciate you giving me a ride home.”

“Thank you.” Her trust in him humbled him. “Let me know when you’re ready to go.”

She nodded and relaxed into his arms.

It felt nice to be held in Rafe’s arms. Brianna was a little surprised that Ellie left without saying anything, but then, she’d been in a scene with Rafe. At first, she was a little hurt, but she trusted Ellie and Logan to know she would be safe with Rafe.

Not only that, she trusted him, as well. She’d better after that scene. Oh man, that scene. Her skin still tingled from the sensations he’d created with only feathers and his touch.

Brianna had never felt that way with any man, in or out of the lifestyle. Rafe’s touch heated her body and made her want things she’d never thought about. She shifted and yawned. It was getting late, and while she didn’t have work tomorrow, it was time to go home.

“I think it’s time to go.”

He nodded and lifted her as he stood. Damn, this man was strong. Rafe set her on her feet but kept his arm around her waist. “Is there anyone you need to say good-bye to?”

“I’m good.” She was just getting to know the other subs. Rafe guided her out of the club and to the ladies’ room. “Meet you here.”

She nodded and slipped into the bathroom. Thankfully, it was empty. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk with anyone, and she quickly pulled on her street clothes and grabbed her purse. Rafe was leaning against the wall when she walked out.

Damn, he’d put on a t-shirt that molded to those muscles of his. He held a black bag in his hand.

“I hope you weren’t waiting long.”

“No. Max wanted to chat for a minute.”

“Is everything okay?”

“Fine.” Rafe took her by the elbow and escorted her out to the parking lot. He led her over to a deep maroon-colored SUV. A big one.

She shook her head.

“What?” he asked.

“What is it with men and huge SUVs?”

“Probably because we are always hauling stuff around for parties, camping, and other things.” He tossed his bag in the back, then opened the passenger door. “Plus, we get to do this.” He grasped her by the waist and lifted her into the vehicle.

Brianna giggled. “I never thought of that.” She fastened her seatbelt after he shut the door.

“Where do you live?” he asked.

She gave him the address and fell silent. It was a comfortable silence, something she hadn’t experienced with a man in a while. When he pulled up in front of her apartment building, she reached for the door handle.

“Stay there,” he ordered and climbed out. She gave him a hard stare when he opened her door, put his hands on her waist, and helped her out of his vehicle. “I didn’t mean my words to be so brisk.”

“Okay.” Her ire fled.

He kept his arm around her waist as he guided her to the front of the building. Brianna pulled out her keys and unlocked the common door. “Thank you for tonight.”

“Please allow me to escort you to your apartment.”

“All right.” She really didn’t need an escort, but he’d asked rather than ordered. They made their way down the hall. Her apartment was the last one, next to the emergency exit.
