Page 28 of Hades

“I’m in the breakroom,” she murmured. “On the first floor.”

She heard the sound of a motorcycle engine coming to life. “I’m on my way. Stay by your phone.”

The line went dead, and she had no other option but to do as Hades said. She hated that she had somehow become this damsel in distress, but she knew if anyone could save her, it would be Hades, with his mean ass.

When Hades toldthe Obsidian Riders to assemble, they always came through with no questions asked.

He had been at Underground Customs working on a motorcycle decal for one of his clients and waiting for everyone in the club to get there so church could start downstairs, when he mindlessly checked Harley’s location on his phone. Imagine his surprise when she wasn’t at his house.

He had been wound up real tight over the past week, and this was the perfect excuse for him to call her and get a little bit of her time. It didn’t matter that he was about to cuss her ass out. Deep down, he really just wanted to hear her voice.

He didn’t expect to hear the fear in her voice when she told him that bitch ass nigga Drew was there. How ironic it was thatchurch was supposed to be centered around that nigga, and now they had to go see about him instead. Up close and real personal.

It took him no time to round up the Obsidian Riders, since most of them were already at Underground Customs. Now, they sped down the street only seconds from Harley’s location.

He was at the head of the pack, and when he whipped into the parking lot, his riders followed right behind him, causing people milling about to scatter. Hades pulled right up to the blue BMW with not an ounce of fear in his heart. He was always ten steps ahead of the enemy, and he knew there was no way Drew and his crew would start some shit with them in broad daylight with so many onlookers and security cameras. They were dumb, but they weren’t that dumb. It went against their entire plan to pin all their crimes on the Obsidian Riders. With witnesses and cameras, it would be easy to prove the riders were innocent.

Hades wasn’t stupid either though. He understood that this could very well be a trap, but for Tink, he would gladly walk into one if it meant she was safe. Her irritatingly stubborn ass had somehow wormed her way into the circle of important people to him, which meant no matter how mad at her he was, she would be covered by his protection.

As soon as his bike stopped, he gripped the Glock on his side and mugged the car next to him, waiting for someone to step out or something to pop off. His eyes scanned the area as his riders flanked him. Soon, the entire parking lot was surrounded by his club, and Drew’s crew in the little ass car was outnumbered.

Finally, the window slowly rolled down, and Hades was met with the smell of the most potent weed smoke he’d ever had the pleasure of inhaling. Drew’s smug face leaned out the window, and Hades peeped his hand gripping his own gun.

“Ain’t expect such a welcoming,” Drew drawled as he pulled from a blunt before passing it to the man in the passenger’s seat.“I was hoping to get a word in with Harley. I heard she’s in there.”

Hades clenched his jaw as he fought the urge to spaz out. Over the sound of several engines of the motorcycles surrounding him, he spoke. “I’m only going to say this one time, bitch ass nigga. You ain’t ever got shit to say to her again. You got that?”

Drew chuckled, and Hades watched him and the three men in the car with him closely. He had a hunch that Drew wasn’t just trying to talk to Harley. That man wanted Harley. Any man that stepped to a woman who caused him to get his ass beat into the ground was unstable. Maybe Hades didn’t make it clear that the ass whupping he put on Drew last time was very much so in honor of Harley. Fuck this stupid ass street shit. Even before he realized his own obsession with Harley, his soul recognized it, and he didn’t like that Drew thought it was okay to pop up on her. This was no different, and if Hades had to give him a reminder, Drew wouldn’t be able to get up this time.

“Look, I ain’t the type to fight over no bitch. It’s clear Harley put that pretty ass pussy on you, and I get it, my nigga. Man to man, that shit is definitely worth all this hassle, but she was mine first. So, let’s work out a little deal. How about you give her to me, and I’ll tell the cops to direct their attention elsewhere?—”

Hades tried. He really, reallytried. But his fist didn’t really too much like the way Drew spoke. Before he could even think about it, his large fist rocked Drew in his face, causing him to slouch back into the man sitting next to him.

When three guns pointed at Hades in response, he didn’t flinch, because in a flash, his riders moved in on the car, still on their bikes, but with their own weapons drawn. Drew and his people were completely boxed in, and Hades saw the moment they realized it. If they shot at him, they would pay for it with their lives. And they wouldn’t stop there. Hades knew Luciferwould personally make sure their families and the generations to come from their bloodlines would suffer.

“This is what’s going to happen,” Hades said once Drew caught his bearings. Hades had to give it to him. He didn’t swipe at the blood pouring from his top lip and nose. Instead, he fixed his steely gaze on Hades. “You’re going to leave Harley the fuck alone. If I find out you so much as thought about her, I’ll make sure your family won’t be able to identify your body. You can bet on that. If you’re cool with closed casket funerals, though, by all means, keep this shit up.”

Drew mugged him, but Hades could tell he didn’t want no real smoke. Of course, Hades could have given Harley up and fixed all his problems, but as cold as he was, he couldn’t do that. Not to her. He glanced to the right of him where he spotted a bright purple Kawasaki and chuckled.Vixen.He would have traded her ass without batting an eye. He didn’t give a fuck that she was the sole provider for her granny and her snotty nosed son. Hades had dipped in her pussy more than a handful of times, and he’d known her for a few years. Still, he felt absolutely nothing for her. It was on the tip of his tongue to offer her ass up right now, but he refrained. Drew didn’t want that white girl. He wanted Harley, and Vixen couldn’t hold a candle to her.

“This shit ain’t over,” Drew said, revving his engine in warning that he was about to peel out.

Hades nodded, not at Drew, but at his riders, and they moved out of the way so Drew could leave the parking lot.

As soon as he was out of sight, Hades looked to his left at Lucifer riding on a blacked out Harley and said, “Sweep the parking lot. I don’t think anyone else from his crew is here but double-check for me. I’m going to get Tink.”

Lucifer nodded, and Hades hopped off his bike. As he took a step toward the building, a hand on his bicep stopped him. He looked at Vixen as she flipped the visor of her purple and blackhelmet up. “All this was for that bitch? If I would have known that, I would have stayed behind.”

“And you should have,” Cati barked.

Hades looked at Cati riding on the back of Major’s dark blue Ducati and shook his head. Cati rarely rode along with the riders unless it was a ride along. Lucifer no doubt told her this was concerning her sister, and she brought her happy ass on. The two women had been spending time together at Underground Customs, and one thing he learned about Cati was she didn’t play about her sister. She had already cornered him and warned him not to hurt her. Little did she know, Hades got great joy out of hurting her. Just not in the sense she thought. He enjoyed some of the toxic shit they were going through and getting on her nerves because he planned to kiss it all better very soon. When he finally dug into her guts, he planned to hurt her even more, but he promised she would like it.

Shaking away the lazy smile that found its way onto his face, he snatched away from Vixen and spat, “Keep yo’ grubby ass hands off me, and this is your warning not to bring Harley up again.” He looked down at her hand with disdain. “And go get yo’ nails done. Shit look crazy.”

Vixen gasped at his harsh words as she inspected her grown out manicure as Hades brushed past her, almost knocking her off her bike.

He heard footsteps behind him and didn’t need to look to know it was Cati following him. Fighting the urge to roll his eyes, he entered the building and looked at the front desk lady with a hardened gaze. She was the same lady he acted an ass to the first time he came up here. The day he met Harley.

That lazy ass grin found its way onto his face once again, as he thought about the first time he laid eyes on Harley, before he frowned. The fuck is wrong with me?
