“Ugh, why are you always so mean, Axil?! You should be more like your cute little kitten there,” Wolf pouts. “But since you asked, Bunny and I were on a late-night cruise on our yacht and saw yours cruise on by. So, we thought we’d see what’s going on here. Had we known you were… entertaining, we wouldn’t have come by,” she purrs, but Sir holds up the middle finger, still not moving.
“Lies. I told you I was taking Glory out on the yacht today,” he grunts, finally sitting up, sweating.
“Oh! Was that today, today?!” She slaps her hand over her cheeks feigning innocence. “I had no idea… but since we’re here, why don’t you let us join?” Wolf coos, tugging on Bunny’s arm who seems to be in a trance but quickly snaps out of it.
“Yes, what Wolf said!” he smiles in his usual, carefree way.
“Jesus Christ, you two are hopeless,” Sir groans as he pulls my dress down, but doesn’t tell them to go, so Wolf happily comes over and sits next to me while Bunny is on the opposite side.
“Oh my! Bunny, would you look at that!” Wolf exclaims, picking up my hand, staring at my ring. “It’s beautiful!” she sighs and I chuckle.
“Thank you! He did a good job, right?”
“Right! I never thought Axil would care for this type of romantic thing, but I guess pigs do fly!” Bunny laughs, making Sir grumble.
“If you saw I was trying to be romantic, wouldn’t it make more sense for you to leave?” he points out, but Wolf pays him no mind.
“If you didn’t want us here, you would have told Fabian and Lawrence we weren’t allowed to board.” Wolf takes my arm, placing it in her lap and her head on my shoulder.
“Just forget it and stay, but you better thank Glory since she’s so excited to see you,” Sir grumbles, shaking his head.
“Anyway! Glory, it’s good to see you! I missed you!” she beams and playfully bounces up and down, which is odd since Wolf is more cool, calm, and reserved. It’s usually Bunny who’s got a lot to say.
“I missed you too, Wolf.”
“Did you really?!” her head pops up excitedly, and if this was some fantasy, I feel like I would see wolf ears at the top of her head from how much she’s acting like an excitable puppy.
“I did,” I laugh at how cute she’s being right now. I almost want to reach out and pet the top of her head, but the thought is knocked from me when she pounces directly on top of me, givingme the biggest hug with her face in my neck, holding tight before sitting up on me.
“Not more than I missed you,” she simpers, looking down at me before leaning down and hugging me, not making a single move to climb off me.
“I’m glad you’re happy to see me considering how bad we left things off.” I pat her back, and Bunny, who’s sitting somewhere above me, grunts.
“It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. You were simply asking questions. It’s normal.”
“True, but I cast judgment on you guys, and I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry.” I glance up to see him smiling handsomely.
“Think nothing of it, Kitten,” he winks, and I blush, looking back down.
“Tha—” My words of gratitude are interrupted by a ghastly sound that has the audacity to come from my stomach, which makes Bunny snicker.
“I guess we should go downstairs to have dinner, huh?” Sir comes over and drags Wolf off me and hands her over to Bunny. “Come, Glorious.” He picks me up princess style and carries me downstairs to the spacious bedroom we’d just left where I see an assortment of finger foods, chilled wine, and charcuterie laid awaiting us.
“Oh! But there are only two chairs! Sir, can you ask if there are any extra available for our guest?” I question, but I feel someone tug on my arm.
“No need. Let the guys sit on those stuffy chairs. You sit with me on the bed! Axil, let her go!” she growls and tugs at my arm. Sir sighs exasperated, but he lets me down. Before she can drag me away, he places a kiss on my lips and Bunny crooks his finger over to Wolf. She deflates and goes over to him as he leans in and whispers something in her ear, swatting her ass.
“I’ll behave, I promise.”
“Somehow I doubt that,” Sir rolls his eyes, placing his hands in his pockets, watching her drag me away.
Chapter 14
Bathed In Glory
GLORY
“Thank you, Sir,” I take the plate he offers me as Wolf takes hers from Bunny and I’d be remiss to point out just how different this feels to when I’m home. While my father absolutely loves me with all his heart, he is extremely old school.
