“You’ve got a good father,” Sir comes up next to me and I plant my face in his chest.Yeah… I have an amazing dad.
Chapter 19
Glory be Thy Name
GLORY
“Are you done crying, Glorious?” Sir cleans my snotty nose, and I sniffle, shaking my head, wailing against his chest.
“I was so scared!” I cry and he chuckles, shushing me.
“You don’t have to be scared for me, Glorious,” he rubs my head, smoothing my hair down. “You don’t know this about me, but I’m one resilient son of a bitch,” he tells me and holds me tight.
“Yeah, but you don’t know my dad. When he says he’s going to do something, he means it. Your life is about to turn into a living hell, and it’s all because of me.
“You’re adorable, Glorious, but that’s far from the truth. You have done nothing but make my life worthwhile and beautiful from the moment I laid I eyes on you. It was truly love at first sight. I knew from the beginning you were sent from heaven. That’s why I call you Glory,” he sighs and I smack his chest, blowing my nose, having heard enough of his shenanigans.
“Okay now you’re laying it on too thick,” I chuckle, finally sitting up and feeling a tad bit better.
“The only thing I lay on you thick is this, Glorious,” he grunts as he takes my hand, placing it on his semi hard-on.
“How can you be erect in a moment like this?! You almost died!” I sneer.
“That’s a good question… maybe I’ve developed Autassassinophilia?” He rubs his chin and I cock my head to the side.
“Autassassinophilia?”
“When one derives sexual pleasure and arousal by the thought and/or risk of being killed,” he wiggles his brows and I gasp, horrified and smacking his chest really hard this time.
“D-don’t you dare! No! Hell no!” I grit out in warning, and he pulls me into a hug, laughing.
“I’m only joking. Though now that I think on it, I do have dacryphilia, which is when someone is aroused by tears or sobbing. That’s not so bad, huh?” he hooks his hand under my chin, tugging it up. “How can you blame me when you cry so beautifully?”
“How can those even be a thing?” I mutter, shaking my head, and he shrugs.
“The world is full of weirdos like your husband,” he laughs and kisses my lips.Husband…
“Are we really married?” I eye him skeptically. “I didn’t say anything in front of my dad because I was trying to save your life, but I find it hard to believe that Idina would just grant you a divorce so easily considering she showed up with every intention of rekindling your love,” I pout and he snorts with deadpan eyes.
“There was never anything to rekindle and she knows it,” he answers dryly.
“I highly doubt that. I wouldn’t be surprised if that woman popped up out of nowhere claiming you’ve committed bigamy,” I groan and roll my eyes.
“You do not have to worry about that. She decided to go somewhere far away. That was the real reason she dropped thekids off… so I could take custody,” he reveals, and I scowl, truly disgusted.
“How could she give up custody of such angels?! How are they? Did they cry when she left? Did she even say goodbye to them?”
“They are unbothered. Idina was by no means a good mother. I hired nannies for my children who took care of them while I was away. When they said their goodbyes, it was with smiles on their faces, so you don’t have to worry about them.”
“Humph! What a terrible woman. I hope she never shows up in front of them again, even if she’s asking for forgiveness!”
“There’s nothing to forgive. They said their peace. Now she has lie in the bed that she herself chose… I gave her multiple ways to see things my way, but I take exception to anything that upsets you. She left knowing that, so…”
“What a despicable woman,” I snort but as Sir said… she made her bed, and now she has to lie in it. “When can we go home again?” I ask, and he rubs my back.
“Soon, we’ll rest here for a bit as the house is being cleaned,” he lets me know.
“There isn’t a speck of dust in that house, though. Can’t we just go home? I love Bunny and Wolf’s house, but I want to get in my own bed,” I pout and he chuckles.
