“And the cute girl? Did you flirt with her?”

“I most certainly did. Got her number too.”

“And he didn’t care?”

“Well, he got her numbertoo, and decided to make it into a competition. We both called her, even took her out, planned to see who she chose in the end.”

“And?”

“She didn’t want to choose. She tried to talk us into a threesome after only two dates with each of us.”

My eyes go wide. And my cheeks get very red, I’m sure. Not out of embarrassment, but because… “Good for her.”

His grin drops to more of a smirk and his eyes narrow slightly. “It didn’t happen.”

“No?”

“I don’t share.”

I swallow hard as the heat in those words slide through me.

“Neither does he.”

Got it. “So who did she end up with?”

“Neither. She dumped us.”

I shake my head. “Wow.”

“But that day I told him I was pretty sure I’d be seeing him naked someday, anyway. He laughed and said I was great and good-looking, but not his type. The next day when I walked into the meeting where he was going to meet his bodyguard, the look on his face was priceless.”

I laugh. “How many times have you seen Torin naked over the years?”

“Countless times.”

I tip my head. “How many times has he seen you naked?”

His eyes lock on mine and there’s heat there that I can feel swirl through my body. His thumb strokes across the back of my hand. “I have no idea.”

“I bet he knows. It’s a very memorable experience.”

“Duchess,” he says, his voice low and full of warning.

Just then our food arrives. He lets go of my hand and leans back. I miss his touch, but I also want to try this pizza.

I take a bite and moan. “Oh myGod.”

“Duchess,” he says again, with that same low warning in his tone.

I look up. “What?”

“No moaning.”

“But this is so good.”

“You sound like you did when I kissed you.”

I smile. “This is just about as good.”
