And closer still.
Before either of us could stop it, our lips were fused together in a kiss that was as shocking as it was hot. Sniper’s tongue slipped out, teasing along the seam of my mouth, firm and commanding until I submitted to him. When his tongue passed my lips and tangled with my tongue, he tilted me backand deepened the kiss. It was a fucking wildfire, hot and out of control.
Before I knew what was happening, the weight of his body pressed down on me, driving me into the mattress as he devoured my mouth. My legs wrapped around his narrow waist, a move I regretted despite my moan, because his hardness was long and thick behind his zipper. I moaned again as he pumped his hips, hitting my clit over and over again.
I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been kissed so thoroughly. So passionately. My fingers tangled in his hair, holding him in place while I kissed him back just as fiercely.
He growled and pulled back, staring at me with dark eyes as he lifted my shirt and teased my nipples with his mouth.
“Oh fuck!” Instinctively I arched into him, moaning loudly as he sucked and bit the sensitive flesh.
Someone pounded on the bedroom door so hard it shook.
I gasped and pushed at Sniper’s large body, which didn’t even budge. “Sniper,” I whispered with wide eyes as my heart pounded its way out of my chest. “What’s going on?”
He froze and when he looked up at me his gaze was soft. “Probably one of the guys.”
Right. One of his MC guys. Not Ethan. Not his friends. “Right. Yeah. Okay.”
“You gotta loosen your grip if you want me to move.” There was a hint of amusement in his voice that helped me relax after the scare.
One leg fell away and then the other. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be, between a set of warm thighs is one of my favorite places to be.” And then his weight disappeared off my body as he left the bed and went to the door.
“We got something on the guy who shot Falcon.”
“Right.” Sniper’s voice was a low gravelly mumble. “Let’s go.” He left without a look back. Without saying a word.
He left like I didn’t matter.
Now that was something I’d grown used to over the years.
Chapter Fourteen
Sniper
“Don’t tell me we actually got something from that fucking shell casing?” In the aftermath of Falcon’s shooting we found several clues regarding the identity of the shooters, but nothing concrete.
Slate threw his head back and laughed. “Fuck man, I wish. As generic as they come, same with the tire tracks.”
Of course we couldn’t be that lucky. “Did the biker I shot say anything?”
Gio shook his head. “Nothing useful and I think I sprained my finger sticking it in his wound.” He held up his finger for extra effect. “Said someone hired them to shoot one of us but he didn’t know who.”
Rocky frowned in confusion. “Just any one of us? No one in particular?”
“Nah. It could’ve been anybody, but they aimed at Falcon because that chick he’s been fuckin’ is the VP’s old ladyandthe kid sister of their sergeant-at-arms.”
“Horny bastard,” Hawk muttered with a grin.
There wasn’t a goddamn thing funny about any of this, not to me. Not when I’d just come face-to-face with Katey’s tears. For such a tiny thing, she was strong as fuck. She didn’t let anyone see her when she was vulnerable. Hell, I’d only seen it because I surprised her, and it made me wonder how many times she’d cried alone in that room. I had to think about thatbecause I couldn’t think about the taste of her lips, or the feel of her body trembling beneath me. “So what the fuck did we find?”
Rebel groaned. “Not you too, Sniper. You gone over your wife? You’re the last person I thought would end up pussy-whipped.” His tone was angry as it always was when another female invaded the club. “I thought she was a favor.”
“She’s a fuckin’ person,” I shot back just as angrily. It was a foolish move seeing as I was still a prospect but the way he talked about her didn’t sit right with me.
“Another one bites the fucking dust,” he muttered to himself.
