Recommendation: Listen to Long As I Live By Jaheim

She ropedher arms around my neck and kissed my lips. “We really did it.”

“You made me the happiest man, my love.” I kissed her lips as everyone started to clear from the floor.

“Wait, where is everyone going?”

“I have a song request for our first dance… we never spoke about that.” I kissed her lips as she held onto me, standing on top of my shoes because she had been barefoot all day.

The music changed and Elijah ran onto the floor, placing his little hand in mine. “We’re doing our first dance together.” She smiled.

“The three of us until number four joins us.” I kissed her lips, and she held Elijah’s other hand as the song started, and she stared at me. “Your karaoke song, and Capri’s gender reveal song.”

I remember when I listened to Jaheim crooning through the speakers at Capri’s gender reveal. Standing on that dance floor with Gams, holding Beretta, until Blair came over and danced with me. The last time I listened to this song, I didn’t have a family, and now I do.

I’ve never been happier and prouder of my brother, witnessing him become a husband, and a father for the second time. Seeing Capri get everything she ever wanted and needed in the perfect man. I watched them feeling that yearning of wanting that same thing for me. Something I had once had, that I lost.

When I felt Blair come over and hold onto me, I stared into her eyes and felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I always knew I wanted her, and that I was in love with her. It was that moment that told me that I had to have her.

There was no other option.

I sang to her as I looked at Elijah and smiled at him. “I promise not to let you both down… I’m always gonna be here.”

I kissed her on the forehead and then kissed him on his. “The Infernos, right?”

“Right.” Blair smiled down at him, and kissed me, then kissed him on the cheek as we continued to hold hands and dance. “Sing to me, baby,” she said, as Elijah let our hands go and went to find Ryder.

I sang to my Queen while kissing her. “I love you, Queen Inferno.”

She pushed her lips against mine. “I love you, King Inferno.”

The music switched and then Capri came back onto the dance floor with Meer, and Erin was leading Capone onto the dance floor as she danced on him. Kobe and Syn both were dancing together. That was all Blair needed, because she spun around and started throwing it back on me, as I slapped her ass.

Gams and Augusta took the kids in the house as we all got on the dance floor. Goon led Zoya out as he danced, and she tried to keep up. I laughed because he was gonna give her a run for her money.

When Des and Jean got on the dance floor, Champion by Buju Banton came on, we started hyping them up. “Yo, that’s my mother!” Cappadonna yelled.

“Boy-Boy, she was my wife first.” As Des spun his wife around and Jean started dancing on him while their kids covered their eyes.

I rubbed my baby’s stomach as we danced and watched them. Everything about this pregnancy had me both scared and excited. I couldn’t wait to see her waddling around and having cravings. I wanted her to cry because she couldn’t see her feet and call me for everything.

A nigga couldn’t wait for her to run the house and me. Tell me what the fuck she wanted, and I was gonna do it. If she wanted me to drive to Texas for something, I was doing it.

“I can’t wait for it to become bigger.” I whispered into her ear, and she kissed me. “I want you swollen and fat.”

She laughed. “You still gonna think I’m cute?”

“The cutest.”

Blair

We dancedon that beach until the early morning and fell asleep across the bed. I was prepared to sleep in bed all day, but Quasim had other plans. He packed us a small bag and we caught a quick flight to Antigua.

When we arrived at our overwater bungalow, we were too tired. I ordered some room service to our bungalow, we ate and then showered before going to sleep. We turned the air conditioning up and cuddled up in the bed together before falling asleep. My body was sore from dancing and having the time of our lives.

I held onto him as he softly snored in my ear, and the bungalow was dark. You couldn’t see anything because it was night, and we had slept the day away. Reaching over, I looked at his phone before laying back down on his chest.

“We need to feed my baby, Anjo.” He answered, never opening his eyes.
