Reaching up, Milena removed his hand, unable to take the tenderness any longer, “I’m fine.” Dropping her gaze, “At least I will be in a few more weeks.” Raising her focus back to Bash, “I came to tell you about the baby, but also to let you know I don’t expect anything from you.”
Shifting his attention to Milena’s phone, Bash began typing away on the screen.
“What are you doing?”
“Sending this to myself.”
“Bash, did you hear me? I don't expect anything from you.”
Reaching into his jacket, Bash retrieved his vibrating phone, downloading the photo and saving it as his home screen. “I heard you, Milena. Now it's time you listened to me.” Turning his body toward Milena, Bash took her hands in his. “I’m a guy, and like most guys, I love my dick. I love it so much that, until I was with you, I wrapped him in a condom every single time.” Bash squeezed Milena’s hands as he emphasized the last three words. “When I’m with you, I don’t want anything between us. I want to feel,” closing his eyes. “Need to feel you around me.”
Milena understood Bash completely, the way they fit together was something she wanted to experience time and time again.
“You once told me all you’d ever wanted was to be a mother. All I want is to have the pleasure of making all of your dreams come true.”
“So, you’re not mad?”
“Mad?” Bash jerked his head back, “Are you kidding? As soon as this funeral is over, I’m going to announce to the fucking world we’re having a baby.”
Wrapping her arms around Bash’s neck, Milena let go of the emotions she’d bottled up for weeks, allowing herself to melt into his warmth as his hand caressed her back soothing her worries away.
“Thank you,” Milena sniffed, as she pulled out of their embrace.
“For what?”
“For loving me, for your persistence with catching Gridlock.” Placing her hand on her flat stomach, “For making my dream come true.”
