“Jeremy. Seriously. I’m not seeing things. I’m not delirious from tiredness. I thought I was, but I’m sure of it. I’m sure he moved!”
He wasn’t sure how long it had been since she saw him move, but he managed to move again and he was elated when he heard their reaction. Jeremy did that dumbfounded babbling thing he did when he was uber confused and it sounded like the Irish girl took punched Jeremy’s arm and gloated that she’d been right about him moving.
I think I kinda like her. Whoever she is.

“AJ, can you hear me? Do you know where you are?”
Who the hell are you?
“AJ if you can hear me could you open your eyes?”
I’m TRYING. DON’T YOU THINK I’M TRYING?
“Ok, how about your toes? Can you wiggle your toes?”
Did they move? I think they may have moved!
“Good. AJ can you wiggle your toes again for me?” the voice asked again as AJ heard him scribble something on paper.
I’m too damn tired. Wasn’t once enough?
“Ok, AJ, you’re going to feel a few pokes and prods now. It’s just to test your reflexes and responses and it’s nothing to worry about.”
You know this isn’t fun for me, right?
AJ tried again, to speak. Without success. He was frustrated and exhausted.
Did I even make a noise?

“Maybe he’s just being a stereotypical boy. He’s loving being waited on hand and foot. Stop feeding him for a few hours, and he’ll wake up brave and quick – mark my words.”
If I could move to pick up a cushion, I’d throw it at your head right now, Lis.
“OHMYGOD!” exclaimed Ana, “Hemoved! He moved his hand! It’s the first time I’ve felt it.”
Ana! Sweet sissy, Ana! You’re the one holding my hand. I miss you, slugger.
“AJ? Can you hear me?” Lisa spoke.
I do love your voice, Lis. I can’t wait to marry you.
“HE DID IT AGAIN!” she exclaimed animatedly.
Of course I did. I’m trying to reach her voice, sissy.
“AJ, these crazy people are starting to make me feel sane. It’s not the natural order of things so you gotta wake up and help me out here!” she told him.
I’m… fucking… trying!
Within seconds, the machines connected to him, started beeping, alarms ringing.
What the ever-living fuck? Christ my head hurts. Make it stop!
“GET THE NURSE!” Lisa screamed at someone.
