Chelsea: We live very busy lives, Jeremy Lewis. What makes you think we just have time to sit and talk to you when we’re summoned?

Jeremy: Well, you answered. That’s a good start. S’up?

Lisa: I’m just getting settled in bed. Going to watch an episode ofHow to Get Away with Murderbefore lights out.

“She’s in bed, Pim. How’sthatmental image sitting with you?”

“Shut up!” AJ was surprised at how growly his voice sounded. Jeremy was clearly enjoying this and winked at him.

You can’t be too grumpy with him; you know it’s all you’re gonna think about now.

Lisa: I can leave you both alone if AJ isn’t around. I’d rather not be the third wheel if it’s all the same to you.

“Answer her. Do it now.”

Man, he really likes this Chelsea girl…

AJ: I’m here. You have a good day?

“You’re kidding me, right? You going to ask her about the friggin’ weather next? How did you bag Ange with pick-up lines like that?”

“I’m not trying to pick her up, remember?”

“Just as well.”

This time, AJ noticed Jeremy and Chelsea getting very quiet in the chat-window and eventually not replying in the group-chat at all, but he didn’t really care. He wanted to know more about Lisa. He wanted to know what she did, where she was from, and how she came to have a best friend in the United States and everything else, too.

What is with this girl?

AJ: Would you mind if I message you by myself sometime? It’s a little weird that they can both read what we’re saying but aren’t actively participating. At least to me, it is.

Lisa: It’s funny, I was going to ask you the same thing.

AJ: You were?

Lisa: I was. They clearly don’t need us to talk to each other anymore, or, ever really, but I kinda like talking to you.

AJ: Just kinda?

Lisa: It’s way past my bedtime, AJ Williams. I think that kind of says it all really.

Jeremy: Awww look at you two getting along so well.

Chelsea: It’s cute.

Lisa: And that’s my cue to go to bed. Night guys.

Figuring there was no time like the present, AJ opened a one-to-one chat window with Lisa and sent her a quick goodnight message.

AJ: Just wanted to say goodnight. I enjoyed chatting to you again today.

Lisa: I liked chatting to you too, I didn’t realize the time. I can barely keep my eyes open.
