Was that Lisa? What the hell?

Everyone turned to look at Lisa.

“You have somenerve!” she shrieked. “You arenotwelcome here! And you need to leave before I launch myself across this room. Do you understand me?” Her voice shook as she spoke.

What the ever-living fuck did this guy do to her? I’ve never seen her this angry.

Kinda hot. Kinda scary. Focus. Clearly, he’s pissed everyone off, the whole team has gone mute. What could he – ah. I see. It was him. He’s obviously the reason I’m in here. The accident on the ice was his fault somehow.

“Dude, what the hell did you do to her?” Brad asked, smiling.

“What did he do to me?” Lisa asked, with visceral anger. “He sexually assaulted me in the bar.”

Shit. He did do that, I remember that. I wanted to break his face for that. Come to think of it, I still do.

“But that’s not the worst of it, Brad. Oh, no. This is the dumb fuck who put AJ into a mother fucking coma,” she fumed.

He looks like he’s going to cry. While I get the anger, Lis – I really do – I wanted to kill him for laying hands on you, I don’t think this is the right moment for this. Not right now. Probably time to step in and try and diffuse the Irish girl before she implodes.

“Lis…” AJ’s voice was quiet and steady. “Don’t… Please?”

Please don’t fight me. Please just back down. Please? I don’t want a scene right now,he silently pleaded.

“Don’t what?” she spat, furiously. “Don’t give him a hard time? Why not? He deserves it.”

A couple of players shifted uncomfortably in their seats and their gazes darted between a bashful looking Dwight, a pleading AJ and a furious Lisa.

Is she physically trembling with fury? Christ. She’s going to kill him. And probably anyone who gets in her way, too.

“I just came to–”

“You need to be quiet right now,” she instructed Dwight, her voice low and shaking with anger.

“Lisa, please. Let him speak,” AJ said.

Crap. Now she’s going to kill me. Look at that look on her face. Shit.

She turned to look at AJ, “Excuse me? Let him speak? Don’t you think he’s done enough AJ?”

“Lis, please?” he pleaded with her.

I’m not sure if I’m pleading with you to shut up, to not kill him, or not kill me, but whatever, just listen to the goddamn pleading!

“Wait. So, one minute everyone wants to kill him for feeling me up against the bar. He almost kills you on the fucking ice. And now, what? It’s all let’s be friends? You’re kidding me, right? Please tell me you’re kidding me. Dirty, cheating asshole.” She directed the last part at Dwight, but her voice was a mix of fury and sobs.

“Lisa!”

Ok, that came out way more harshly than I had intended it to.

“Fine. If he’s staying, I’m not.”

Shit. She’s leaving? Doesn’t she know this is the protocol? You hurt someone, you show up and apologize – at least, I assume that’s what he’s here for, right?

She picked up her bag and stormed out of the room pushing past Dwight.

Crap. She’s leaving. Don’t leave! Why is no one explaining to her that this is how it goes? Shit, they’re looking at you. Why didn’t you? I just can’t think fast enough right now, I’m sorry I didn’t explain better, Lis.

Everyone held their breath for a moment, not really knowing what to do. Jeremy was very clearly torn about whether he should chase after Lisa, or whether he should stay where he was, in case trouble broke out.
