"I told y'all to take her to Blaine Street, not here. But fuck all that... What up, Nino Brown? Long time no see," I taunted.

"Fuck you!"

"It's always the tough ones." I chuckled. "My condolences to your grandfather. I heard he had an unfortunate accident."

"You niggas gon' pay for that shit. Let me the fuck loose, and I promise you I'll fuck you up, bitch!"

"Shut the fuck up!" Grue yelled, swinging the sledgehammer down on Nino's shoulder blade.

"Fuuuuckk!" Nino cried.

"You've been loose for two months and ain't did shit. Your time is up, bro. Where'd you find his ass, O?"

"He was hiding out with the Hellraizers."

"Oh, that's family! You thought they were going to protect you? I helped half them niggas put their kids through college."

"I knew I should have gutted that bitch when I had her. You think you run this city, but you don't run shit! Ya ass live in Bloomfield!"

"I live there, but I'm not from there, dumbass. I'm Detroit through and through... born and raised in this bitch, and what you don't understand is that I never had to cause war when I rule. I get more love in these streets because of what I providefor my community. You, on the other hand, like to torture motherfuckas to get what you want, but you see where that got you. Now, you're about to join your granddaddy in that upper room, nigga."

"Fuck you pussy ass MCR niggas! You bitches are weak as fuck! Ask that bitch if she liked the way my tongue felt on them pretty ass titties. Then again, the way she was moaning, I knew she loved that shit."

Nino's sinister laugh triggered me, and without a second thought, I pulled out my gun and lit his ass up. His body slumped over as my crew began the clean-up.

"You should have let me end his ass," Grue said, spitting on his dead body.

"You did your part, and I did mine."

"Glad this shit is over," Jax chimed in.

"No more outbursts, Grue. If you feel yourself about to crash out, take your fucking meds. You almost got my wife killed because you can't control your temper," I told him.

"Your wife? What you mean, your wife?" he asked, appalled.

"Speaking it into existence, bro-in-law."

Jax laughed as Omar walked over to us.

"So, what's about to happen with the girl?" Omar asked.

I walked over to Nani and dropped to my haunches to be at eye level with her.

"Listen, if you want to keep your life, you will keep what you saw here tonight to yourself. Don't contact Kenzi ever again, but you can thank God and her for sparing you tonight. Get your shit together because setting up your best friend is crazy work. Start choosing yourself first before you end up on Fox 2 News while that fine chick Harlem Daniels covers your story. Am I clear?"

Nani wildly nodded as I stood.

"Drop her ass off at her front door and give her a couple dollars. The least I can do is get her tracks tightened since shedid show a little loyalty," I instructed Draco as he nodded. "Let's get the fuck out of here. I got a shorty to go feed, fuck, and hold."

"Aye, man, I don't want to hear that shit!" Grue yelled, and I laughed on my way out the door.

Three MonthsLater

My jaw ticked as I sat across from Shayna. It took three months of therapy from my baby to get me to this point. Out of all the years I spent stewing in my anger for this broad, I was finally able to sit down with her ass and have an open mind about the bullshit I knew she was about to kick to me. I had Jax and Kenzi sit with us because if I was being honest, she wouldn't make it out of this office alive.

"Ms. Shayna, I believe since you are the root of you guys' fallout, you should be the one to lead the conversation," Kenzi asserted, sounding like the psychiatrist she was weeks away from being.

"As long as he agrees to stay in his seat, I don't mind."
