“I brought you coffee, sleepyhead.”

“What time is it?” I ask, surprised, reaching for the cup. It smells wonderful. The elixir of the gods.

“After ten.”

“What? How is it possible that I slept so much? I guess too many thrills…” I answer myself. “Have you been awake for long?”

“No, I just got up. I’m making breakfast.”

“So, are you getting ready to move in here?”

He smiles and replies, “If I move in, I’ll have much better ways to spend every morning before we have breakfast.”

“Can’t wait. What are we doing today?”

“You mentioned you’d like to visit Nikki.”

“Oh, right. I’ll call her and ask what time suits her. Will you come with me?”

“Sure.”
