Page 45 of Saving You

He grunts and makes his way up the stairs. I follow closely behind him. He turns into the guest room he’s set us up in. The room is nice, especially for a guest room. A queen bed is set in the middle of the room. It’s covered in a soft grey comforter and matching sheets. Two matching nightstands are on either side, and a dresser that matches the nightstands sits at the end of the bed. A chair sits in the corner to the right of the bed. A decent-sized walk-in closet is beside the dresser. The room feels welcoming.

Caleb places our bags on the bed and then turns, handing me the basket he brought in.

“I asked Liv to put this together for you. She added some of her own ideas as well. I figured after dinner, you could take a bath to unwind from today.”

I look inside the basket and see bath bombs, candles, tea, and hot chocolate. There are also colouring books and crayons for Charlie. I smile at him.

“You really are the best.”

I think I see the tips of his ears turn pink. He rubs his hand over the back of his neck before reaching for the bin of Charlie’s toys.

“Charlie, why don’t we find a good place downstairs to get you set up before dinner gets here?”

Charlie excitedly follows him down the stairs, and I fall wistfully back on the bed. This man. I’m not sure how he could be more perfect. He dropped everything the second I called him about Derek. I could hear him running as soon as I told him, and he stayed on the phone with me until he was standing right in front of me. And now he had a friend make a care basket for Charlie and me.

I wipe at the tears that have started running down my cheeks. Have I really been so neglected that these acts of kindness from Caleb are making me cry?

The doorbell rings, and a minute later Caleb calls, “Bails, food is here.”

“Coming,” I call and wipe away the last few tears.

I stop in the washroom and make sure I’m presentable before joining them downstairs. Finn is eating in the corner of the kitchen while Charlie is helping Caleb put plates on the table. He opens the large pizza box in the centre of the table. Turning, he goes to the fridge, returning with a bottle of ranch. He has a beer and a glass of wine already poured and on the table. I pull out a chair across from Charlie, and we eat our dinner.

When we finish, I go to clean up, but Caleb grabs my wrist gently, stopping me. “Leave it. I’ll take care of this. You get Charlie ready for bed so that we can get you a bath drawn.”

He pushes away from the table, gathering all the dirty dishes and making his way to the kitchen sink. I watch him for a second. The simple movement of rinsing the dishes has the muscles in his back rippling.

He looks over his shoulder, catching me staring, and smirks. I duck my head and tuck a stray piece of hair behind my ear, attempting to hide my blush.

“Come on, Charlie, time for bed.”

She follows me, and we make our way upstairs. I draw her a bath and get her pyjamas ready. We make tonight a quick one because it’s already much later than I was hoping to get her to bed. As I’m tucking her into bed, Caleb appears in the doorway.

“Do you have a book for bedtime?” he asks her.

“Can you readLlama Llama Red Pajamaagain?”

He hops onto the middle of the bed and Charlie curls into his side as I pass him the book.

“Say good night to your mom. She’s going to go have a bath,” he says, his way of dismissing me.

I lean down, kiss my girl on the forehead, and say good night before retreating into the washroom and turning on the hot water. I pull out the bottle of lavender bubble bath and pour a generous amount in before I strip, leaving my clothes on the counter.

Something in the bottom of the care basket catches my eye, and I do a double take. Sitting at the bottom, under everything else, expertly hidden, is a box with an image of a bullet vibrator. My eyes widen. Sneaky Liv putting this in here. I flip the box over and in all capitals written at the bottom of the box is WATERPROOF. My eyes bounce between the bath and the box. I grin to myself; Caleb did say to take a bath to relax. What better way to relax than an orgasm?

I take the bullet out and slowly dip my feet in the water, adjusting to the warm temperature before completely submerging my body. When the water and bubbles completely cover me, I turn the bullet on and run itover the skin of my neck, down to my right nipple. I hold it there until it hardens and then slowly move the bullet across my chest, doing the same to the other. The vibrations travel through my nipples, and my core clenches.

Slowly, I drag it in a zig-zag pattern down my stomach and between my legs, finding my already sensitive clit. My back arches at the sensation that travels through my entire body. The moan that’s torn from my body reverberates around the tiled washroom. I bite my lip, hoping to hold back anymore noises.

Closing my eyes, I lean my head back and allow images of Caleb to flood my mind. I remember his kisses that leave me wanting more, the feeling of his body pressed against mine each time we’ve hugged, and the tenderness and protectiveness in his voice when he rushed to my side today

I’m on the edge, every muscle in my body begins to tense, ready for the relief that will flood my system when I finish. A knock on the door has me jolting slightly.

“Bails, can I come in?”

I reach down to turn off the vibrator, but accidentally turn it up. Sensation rushes through my body. My back arches, my toes curl, and I reach for the edge of the tub. “Yes,” I moan as the vibrator keeps going, winding me tighter. I come, calling, “Caleb!”

The door opens, and my chest leaves the water as my entire body lifts from the orgasm tearing through me.
