***Juliet***
Harrison shed his clothes so fast, Juliet couldn’t help the smile that slowly spread across her face, but it faded when she saw the desire in his eyes and her body responded. Thrill after thrill rushed through her, her body began to throb andmoisture formed between her legs as he slowly pulled the flimsy nightgown over her head, exposing her to his hungry eyes. Harrison growled low in his chest, his erection already throbbing, then lay down next to her, and began to explore her body with his hand.
His mouth found hers in a kiss that left her breathless while his fingers slipped between her folds, and he began to gently massage her swollen nib. Wave after wave of pleasure rushed through her and she was instantly tumbling over the edge, her body bucking against his hand and making him growl again. After slipping a finger deep inside her, he shifted position, then slowly kissed his way down her body as he teased her into another frenzy of sensation, but just as she felt herself tumbling again, he stopped.
She whimpered, lifting her hips to him and he slid between her legs, then further down her body, pushing her legs open wider as he went. He bent his head and began to lap at her, making her cry out as waves of sensation crashed through her, taking her higher than she’d ever been. This time when she tumbled over the edge, the pleasure went on and on, leaving her panting and crying out his name as she dug her nails into his shoulders.
When she finally came back down to Earth, a new kind of need slowly began to grow inside her, and she tugged on his shoulders. “Please, Harrison, I need you inside me,” she said. “I need to feel you buried as deeply as you can be.”
With a strangled moan, Harrison grabbed her by the hips and flipped her over onto her hands and knees, pulled her up onto her hands and knees, then slid between her legs and nudged them open. He grabbed her by the hips and drove himself into her, crying out her name as he buried himself as deeply inside her as he could, releasing another barrage of pleasure that stole her breath.
He drove himself into her over and over again until nothing mattered but the passion and love flowing between them, the bond they shared only increasing the intensity of what they were both experiencing. When they finally went soaring over the edge together, she cried out his name even as hers escaped from his parted lips, and then he emptied himself inside her with a roar that filled the little clearing.
Deep inside the island in a cave behind the waterfall, a sparkling gem absorbed the power spilling out of the tent and the island began to breathe, gathering its strength for the biggest battle it had ever faced. Inside the tent, Harrison collapsed next to Juliet then pulled her into his arms with a satisfied sigh.
“I’ll never be that stupid again,” he whispered. “I love you, Juliet, and I always will.”
“I love you too, Harrison,” she whispered back. “Until the end of time.”
EPILOGUE
“Well, don’t you look nice,” Max said, stepping up next to Nora. “That color suits you.”
She turned and gave him a dirty look. “Go away, I want to hear the ceremony,” she said. “Not you flapping your gums at me.”
“Are you always this pleasant, or did you save it all up for me?” he asked. “You’d think you could be a little more grateful. We saved you from a pretty nasty future.”
“Only for you to imprison me on this island,” she shot back. “I’m not sure I’m much better off.”
Max had to take a deep breath to control the urge to throttle the young woman. “Well, then maybe we should send you back to Mr. Adaloni,” he said. “I’m sure he’d be happy to have you back.”
“What you should do is take me over to Bermuda like I asked,” she said, scowling at him again. “I told you before, and I’ll tell you again, I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself.”
“Oh, really?” he sneered at her. “Then how did you end up on that boat headed for who knows where to be auctioned off to the highest bidder?”
“That was a mistake,” Nora said, a brief look of uncertainty on her face, but it quickly disappeared. “Just leave me alone so I can enjoy the wedding.”
“As you wish,” he said. “But I’m not letting you go anywhere until you tell me who you are. It’s not a safe world out there, and you clearly can’t take care of yourself.”
Nora looked over at him, her face stormy, then turned and walked away, leaving him standing there, desire pounding through his body, annoyance and anger making him want to punch something. The woman had been nothing but a thorn in his side for the last week, and he would have been more than happy to send her on her way if he could only convince himself that she’d be safe.
