Page 95 of Return to Me Always

Tylerwas in love with me.

I poured my passion into him, reaching up to wrap my arms around his neck, my hands in his hair.God, I wanted him. Wiggling my body, I couldn't get close enough to him in this stupid booth, and I heard a clattering sound as we knocked silverware onto the floor. But I didn't care. And apparently, neither did he.

It seemed as if nothing could stop us.

He settled me on top of him, his lips ravishing mine—raw, hungry—like he couldn't get enough of me, like I was the most precious thing in the world to him.

My heart fluttered as the kiss deepened into something scorching hot. I straddled his hard body, every part of me pressed up against him, his heat pouring into me, making my toes curl.

He paused to take a breath, his chest rising and falling with mine. The look in his eyes was... God, he looked like he wanted to devour me. Chills racked my body, and I shivered.

Staring into my eyes, he caressed my cheek. "It's always been you, Kat. Always. I was just waiting for you."

My breath hitched at his amazing confession and the love in his eyes.

"You've made me remember how to smile," he said. "You've made me believe."

My heart felt like it would burst. The love I had for him right now... I just couldn't trust myself to speak, so I leaned forward to kiss him again, the sweetest, softest kiss, our lips barely touching.

Feeling drunk with his love, I inhaled him, filling up my lungs with him like he was my oxygen. "I love you. I love you more than anything in this world," I breathed out.

His body shook at my words, and he crushed me back to him, chest to chest, his lips to mine, both of us trembling together with need.

My hands slipped under his shirt, wanting to feel him, wanting to touch his incredible body. His groan encouraged me as I explored his hard muscles, in awe at the power beneath my fingers. With an impatient noise, his hands moved to my hips as he somehow pulled me closer to him.

"We need to get the hell out of here," he whispered against my lips.

I giggled at the frustration in his voice and leaned back to look at him.

"Have you ever had the waterfall dream?" I asked, suddenly feeling a little shy as flashes of the dream flew through my mind.

The fire in his eyes nearly burned me. "Aye. Why?"

"Well..." I turned away, embarrassed, but his hand on my chin guided my eyes back to his.

"Why?" he asked in a demanding tone.

"I was, um, hoping we might visit a waterfall sometime."

He flashed me the sexiest smile in the world. "Don't worry, love. I know where the best waterfalls in Scotland are, and we're going to hit every damn one of them."

I smiled back, stars in my eyes as I envisioned us, in this lifetime, reenacting the dream.

"We need to leave. Now," he said, the desperation in his voice making me giggle.

Quickly, we untangled ourselves and scrambled out of the booth, heading across the room. I half-stumbled up the steps, breathless as Tyler kept stealing kisses.

The waiter greeted us at the top of the stairs with a large bag. "Thought you might want your food for take-away." He grinned at us knowingly.

Oh, God. How much had he seen?

"Thanks for that, mate," Tyler said, grabbing the bag and putting an arm around me as we rushed for the exit.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"My place."

As he opened the restaurant door for me, flashes greeted our eyes and reporters surrounded us. But this time, it didn't bother me because all was right in my world.
