And it was!

Kieran stepped out, looking like a goddamn dream. Of course, he hadn't bothered dressing up for Halloween, and I was kind of glad because I wanted to seehim. And he took my breath away just being him.

His grin when he spotted me made my heart beat double time. And then, when he walked toward me, I froze like a total weirdo... until he was right in front of me. He even smelled delicious like he'd just showered, his hair still slightly damp.

"Sky?" he asked, eyebrows together like he wasn't one-hundred percent sure of my identity.

Right. I had forgotten about my costume. "It's me."

"Wow. You look..." He glanced down to my boots and visibly swallowed. "Um, uh..."

He was so stinking cute. I couldn't even take it. "Are you going to kiss me or what?" I asked, throwing my arms around his neck.

Shaking his head, he laughed, his breath warm on my face. Our lips collided, my body molding to his, our mouths moving together in perfect harmony. God, I couldn't get enough of him. My hands clasped his hair as I tried to get closer to him. I wanted more. I wantedeverythingfrom him.

This kiss was different than the others. It was something more, something magical.

Time was lost as Kieran's lips told me just how much he'd missed me. When I traced his lower lip with my tongue, he groaned into my mouth. That sound made me hotter, my only thought that I wanted to make him groan even louder. I wanted to taste him, all of him.

The bouncer coughed near us, and I realized we were standing in the middle of the sidewalk still. Laughing, we pulled apart.

"Never had such a problem with PDA before," Kieran said, a wide grin on his face.

"Me neither."

A loud voice suddenly said, "What are you guys doing?" Kara stood at the door, poking her head out. "Get your asses in here."

Kieran sighed like he didn't really want to go in—and I didn't want to either—but we ended up going inside anyway. I supposed I could postpone those wicked thoughts. Walking through the crowd to the dance floor, though, I vowed to somehow, in some way, be alone with Kieran tonight. I didn't know how, but I'd make it happen.

As the night progressed, those thoughts grew even stronger... because there he was beside me, behind me, or in front of me, bodies always touching, feeling him against me, feeling his lips on me. It was one big fucking tease dancing together, and I felt like I was going crazy for this boy.

After a while, I leaned up to him. "Think we can sneak out?"

His teeth flashed white in the sea of darkness as he smiled. I didn't hear his answer, but his grip on my hand told me everything I needed to know. Turning around, he guided me through the crowd toward the exit. Seeming like he was in a hurry, Kieran rushed us out the door, away from the crowd, and immediately hailed a passing cab that was empty.

Thank God.

Disappointment shot through me when he gave the cab driver my address and not his, and I wondered why he didn't want to take me back to his place... the same damn problem as Kara and Gen.

He put his arm around me, pulling me in closer to him. "So when I dropped off my bag at my apartment, I found out my roommate apparently decided to have a little Halloween party."

Oh, that explained it. "Really?"

"Yeah. And it looked like someone had been sleeping in my bed recently."

"Ew." I crinkled my nose at him. "What makes you think that?"

"The bed was a mess, and I definitely didn't leave it like that."

"Oh, my God. That's so gross."

"Yeah. I'm not sleeping in it until everything is washed twice with scalding hot water and extra soap."

Giggling, I put my hand on his leg, squeezing his thigh, a noise escaping his mouth suddenly. Not able to resist, my hand traveled higher up his leg as I felt him tense beside me. He squirmed and put his hand on top of mine, making me glance up at him. In the flash of light from passing cars, I could see that Kieran had my black lipstick all over his face, and I burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" he asked, a crease between his brows.

"I think I left my mark on you."
