Yet I found my gaze wandering down to her legs. She was dressed as a naughty librarian in her pencil skirt and blouse with goddamn high heels. Her calves were to die for. Hell, all of her was.

Maybe us being together like this was a bad idea. I hadn’t been around her for long periods of time, and I didn’t know how hard—pun intended—it’d be to keep from dropping to my knees and begging for her to take a chance on me to make her happy.

While I was down there on my knees, I’d also like to lift up her skirt slowly and?—

“Drake, are you okay?” she asked softly.

Clearing my throat, I nodded. “Yeah, why?”

Was I hard? Had she seen my dick?

Fuck.

“I’m worried for my steering wheel.”

I glanced at my hands and saw how white my knuckles were. Christ. I had to get a grip of the arousal coursing through me. “Ha, yeah, sorry. Just thinkin’.”

Thinking that if I don’t keep strangling the wheel, I’ll give in and touch you in a way that’ll give my thoughts away.

“Anything I can help with?”

I clenched my jaw, so I didn’t damn groan.

“I’m good, Birdy. Thanks.”

I’d never been more thrilled to see a library car park. Sighing, I pulled in and took a spot close to the door. It was early enough that there weren’t many cars or people around.

“Want me to walk you in?”

She glared at me. “Don’t you dare.” She opened her door and climbed out. “Take care of my car.”

“You know I will.”

She leaned over, smiling. “I do. See you at five.”

“Call me if you need anythin’, yeah?”

She’d already started to shut the door but quickly pulled it open again. “Thanks, I will. Have a great day inking everyone.”

Chuckling, I asked, “Why does that sound dirty?”

She blushed. “Only in your mind.” She closed the door again, and I watched her walk her way inside with that sweet sway to her curvy hips and on those damn sexy heels.

Groaning, I rested my forehead to the top of the wheel. This was going to be the longest week of my life. “Fuckin’ idiot.” I drove out of there cursing myself some more. I had to calm the hell down.

At the compound, I stuck my head out the window and waved at the camera. The gates opened even before Handle could come over.

Driving through, I called out the window, “Hey, brother.”

Handle tipped his chin up with a smile and went back to his post.

After I parked, I got out of Swan’s car and headed into the compound with my bag of supplies over my shoulder. I swung the keys around on my fingers as I greeted brothers on the way to the kitchen.

I had one big job and two smaller ones today, and I’d need coffee for them.

Pushing through the door, I said, “Mornin’.”

Dodge grinned. “Dragon, good to have you here, brother.”
