My mind was made up after the first kiss. I was going to take Junie on an adventure she ain’t never experienced before. I didn’t care if it took hours or until the sun rose. Junie was going to get all of this dick. She earned it. After seeing how she controlled the room and the motorcycle, Junie had won me over. When I received the text from Unc to meet him at his house, I was pissed. He had called and texted back-to-back. No matter how much I tried to ignore it, I knew the motherfucker wouldn’t stop. Now here I was walking up the steps to his house.

I rang the doorbell. There were bikes parked along the driveway and side of the street. I shook my head at the house. Some of these men didn’t have a life outside of Iron Knights. It baffled me how grown ass men would rather be stuck up underother grown men all day. The door finally opened and Unc stood there still in his jacket and pants.

“Sup, Unc?” I asked, walking through the door.

“’Bout time you got over here,” he said. “Everybody in the den.”

I sighed. “Aight.”

I walked through the house, speaking and doing the Iron Knights handshake to members of the club. Women walked around in bikinis, and some were nude. I shook my head. Unc always had something going on at his house. I finally made it to the den. Mario sat there with a glass in his hand and a woman on her knees giving him head. Even though he was getting pleased, and the unknown woman looked like she knew what she was doing, Mario still looked angry. Hours had passed since the meeting, and he still looked mad. I didn’t even bother speaking.

“Aye,” Unc said, stepping behind me. “Get up out of here. We need to talk.”

The girl immediately stood to her feet, rushing out of the room. Mario put his dick up and stood. He looked at me then rolled his eyes. I laughed.

“Nigga, not you acting like a bitch rolling your eyes and shit.”

“Fuck you! You sat there and let that bitch embarrass me.”

I got offended from him calling Junie out of her name. No matter how bad I wanted to check him, I knew I couldn’t.

“I ain’t do shit. Your ass sucks at handling business. You’re a nepo-baby. You can’t do this shit for real.”

I knew I hit a nerve. Mario knew many felt that way. It only pissed him off more hearing it aloud.

“Nigga, fuck you,” he roared, trying to walk up on me.

Unc stepped in the middle. I didn’t move a step when he approached me. Mario wasn’t built that way. He and I both knew that.

“Y’all two fucking stop. We family. We stick together,” Unc said. “We got bigger fish to fry than this shit here. Mario, grow some balls, and Kairo, stop being a dick. Now sit. We need to talk.”

We all sat down. I kept my eye on Mario because he was sneaky person. If I blinked, he’d have a gun pointed at me.

“Unc, what’s up? I was kind of busy.”

My thoughts went back to Junie. I was ready to get home and finish what I started. I couldn’t tell her I was headed to see my uncle, so of course she assumed it was another woman. I made myself a promise to let her know and show it wasn’t a woman.

“Your girl kind of spicy.”

Internally, I smiled. Junie’s spiciness had me looking at her different. What might have been too much for others was just enough for me.

“She straight.”

“I got some news. The night of the murder, they said a blue bike was at the scene. Since you been over at the headquarters, have you seen any blue bikes?”

I shook my head. “Nah. Everybody bikes over there are red and black. That’s the only color they can have at headquarters. You sure your source is accurate?”

“A thousand percent sure. You need to find that blue bike. That person killed my brother and your father.”

My chest became heavy. The mood I was in did a one eighty. We were getting closer to finding out who it was that could’ve killed my father. We knew it was a Savage Saint, but which Savage Saint was always in question. My father’s case went cold. No one was trying to come forward with any information. Everyone was scared to snitch. This was a shock getting this information, but I planned to do as much investigating as I could.

“What you need me to do?” I asked. “It’s a million blue bikes around the town. How am I going to know which specific one it is?” Mario shoved a paper in my hand and walked past me. “Don’t shove shit in my hand.”

“Stop being a fucking idiot. Stop acting like I don’t know how to do my job.”

I jumped up. “Nigga, no one ever said you didn’t know how to do your job. You just do a piss poor job of doing it.”

Mario prepared to run up before Unc interrupted us again. “Listen, motherfuckers, I’m sick of this shit. It’s bitches upstairs with their titties out and y’all down here arguing over dumb shit. Take the picture, Kairo. Be on the lookout for that specific bike.”
