They lay there for a moment, both out of breath until Harrison leaned over and kissed her. “You’re amazing.”
She gave him a tired smile. “Back at you, babe.”
A few minutes later, Nyla watched as he went to the bathroom to take care of the condom. She must’ve dosed off at some point because, the next thing she knew, he was wrapping his arm around her.
She released a satisfied sigh and snuggled against his hard body.
That was mind-blowingwas her last thought before she drifted off to sleep.
Chapter Seventeen
After a quick shower, Harrison changed into a pair of lounging pants and a long-sleeved T-shirt. After two rounds, Nyla had worn him out, and he couldn’t stop the stupid grin from spreading across his face.
His little cutie-pie was full of surprises. First with the snowball fight and then their love making. Damn… it had been intense. He had fantasized about what they’d be like in bed together. Yet, what they’d shared for the last couple of hours exceeded anything he could’ve imagined. Sex with her had been the best he’d had in his life, and if he wasn’t so tired and hungry, he’d convince her to go another round.
Later. They’d have a repeat later, but right now, he needed to feed his baby.
My baby.
The endearment, even in his head, felt right. They hadn’t officially agreed to date, but as far as Harrison was concerned, Nyla was his. That alone spoke volumes about the type of person she was because it had been years since he’d wanted to claim a woman as his own.She was everything he could’ve wanted and more. Kind, sweet, gentle, thoughtful, funny, and the list couldgo on and on. Yeah, he needed to lock this down before the end of the weekend.
When he finally left the bathroom, Nyla was walking into the bedroom carrying a large tray loaded with food.
“Whoa, baby,” Harrison hurried to her and carefully grabbed the tray. “This thing is heavy. Why didn’t you ask me to bring it upstairs for you?”
Nyla shook out her arms and released a small laugh. “Well, when I came up with this brilliant idea of us eating in bed, I hadn’t counted on the tray weighing a ton. Once I started up the stairs, I had to keep going.”
Harrison set the tray in the middle of the bed, then turned to Nyla who was still shaking out her arms. He liked that she was making herself at home. She was even wearing one of his favorite T-shirts, his rattiest one. The one with Charlie Parker on the front of it playing his saxophone.
But the shirt looked hella good on her and stopped mid-thigh. It gave him a teasing view of her long, shapely legs, and if he wasn’t mistaken, she wasn’t wearing anything under it. Only one way to find out.
He tugged her into his arms and planted a kiss on her lips. “I like seeing you in my clothes,” he mumbled against her mouth before lifting his head slightly. “You look good, taste good, and smell good. That’s a lethal combination.” His dick stirred as he nuzzled her neck while also cupping her firm butt cheeks.
He was right, she wasn’t wearing a bra or panties. That knowledge spurred him on, and he kneaded her ass while pulling her flush against his body.
“If you don’t stop, you’re going to get something started, and though I wouldn’t mind, I’m starving…for food,” Nyla said on a moan.
Harrison chuckled and eventually loosened his hold on her. “I guess we did work up an appetite, but we’re picking up where we left off after we eat.”
“Deal!”
They moved to the bed and climbed on, each sitting on the opposite side of the tray.
Nyla grabbed a croissant that she had already sliced open and added mayo, Swiss cheese, and turkey. “I haven’t eaten all day, and I think I can eat this whole spread by myself,” she said around a mouthful of food.
Harrison had just reached for some strawberries but stopped and stared at her. “Why? I left breakfast for you.”
“I know, and that was so sweet. Oh, and thank you for the beautifulroses! I can’t believe I forgot to tell you that.” She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss before she went back to devouring her sandwich.
“You’re welcome,” he said, loving the way her eyes lit up when she talked about him making her breakfast and buying her flowers. He wanted to give her the world if she’d let him.
“When I saw you outside shoveling, I immediately thought of having a snowball fight. I haven’t had one since me and my siblings still lived at home.”
She went on to talk about the shenanigans the five of them used to get into, including vicious snowball fights. Harrison smiled as she regaled him with one adventure after another of when they were teens. They were clearly a rambunctious bunch and were all only two or three years apart. He couldn’t imagine how loud it must’ve been in their home.
As she continued talking, she grabbed a handful of grapes and popped one into her mouth. With the next one, she held the plump fruit to his lips. Harrison stared into her pretty brown eyes as he opened his mouth for her.
She smiled and while she slowly eased the fruit into his mouth, he held her wrist steady and gently sucked on her fingers.
