“Not secure enough in your masculinity? That’s okay. Not everyone is.”

He laughs. “Fuck off.”

“I’ll make you a scarf.”

Harrison holds up his hands. “Hey, don’t worry about me.”

Taylor’s smiling so big she could eclipse the sun. Byron looks pretty happy too. He’s made a full recovery from the food theft incident.

“We may have a little problem,” I tell Taylor eventually.

“What’s that?”

“I’m too drunk to drive home.” I lean closer and say in her ear, “And I want to get you in my bed and fuck you until you scream.”

Her eyelashes lower. “All right then.” Her lips twitch. “I’m too drunk to drive too. But I planned that.”

“What?”

“I’m staying here tonight.”

I stare at her. “Perfect!” I grab her hand. “Which room?”

“Hold up, Killer. I’m supposed to share the room with Everly.”

I frown. “No threesomes. Especially with my aunt.”

“Eeeew.”

“I’m kidding. No, I mean I’m not kidding. You know what I mean.”

She giggles. “I know what you mean.”

“Well, shit.”

Everly must have heard us. “What are you saying about me?”

“I told JP that you and I are sharing a bed.”

She narrows her eyes at him. “Don’t get all weird.”

“I’llget weird about it,” Wyatt puts in. “That sounds hot.”

“You’re disgusting,” Everly says. Then she sighs dramatically. “Okay, fine, I’ll let you two lovebirds have the bed. I’ll sleep on the couch.”

Now Lacey jumps in. “What? The couch?”

“It’s fine.” Everly shrugs, also half-cut. “I think I’ll be able to sleep anywhere.”

“I have an extra room,” Wyatt says casually. “You can sleep there.”

“I’m not sleeping at your place.” Everly waves a hand. “Are you kidding me? You’d probably stab me in my sleep.”

“Is that a euphemism?” He arches a brow. “’Cause I bet my stick would feel good in your crease.”

My eyes bug out and my hands curl into fists. “Hey, man, that’s?—”

But Everly is laughing. “In your dreams,” she says. “And that’s why I’m not staying at your place.”
