But his mind kept wandering to the following day, hoping Evan liked what he had planned. He’d never had to think about Valentine’s before, so he was flying blind.

Chapter 18

Evan

Evan startled awake as pleasure streaked down his spine towards his groin. His eyes crossed as the suction on his cock increased, sending licks of fire to his balls. Palming the head going to town on his dick, he rolled completely to his back, giving Owen more access.

Owen pulled off. “I was wondering when you were going to join in the party,” he rasped, his voice changed either from the swallowing of his shaft or the early morning hours or both. He dropped down again, sliding Evan’s dick deep in his throat.

“Fuck,” Evan breathed, rubbing his face to clear the sleepiness away. He didn’t want to miss a minute of this unexpected gift. Staring down at his man, he watched him work, his arousal increasing tenfold with the visual. Owen paused with just the head in his mouth, peered up at him and flicked his tongue at the nerves underneath. “Oh, shit!”

The unexpected orgasm shook him to his core, his lungs stopped working, and his mind blanked. When he finally came back to his body, his chest ached as it worked for oxygen and his head pounded from the lack of it.

“Holy…”

Owen grinned and climbed up his body, kissing him briefly. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Evan huffed a laugh. “Definitely happy.”

Owen bit his lip. “I have a bath ready for you. You relax in there while I get some breakfast ready.” He climbed off the bed.

“I’d prefer to take a bath with you,” Evan murmured.

“Later maybe. I want to spoil you today.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be at work?”

Owen shook his head. “Brett gave me the day off.”

Evan raised his eyebrows. “Aren’t you the lucky one?”

“Truly.” He braced his hands back on the bed, leaning down. “I get to spend the whole day with you and spoil you rotten.”

“What about you? Don’t you get spoilt?”

Owen kissed him again. “I get joy from watching you get spoilt.” He strode for the door and pointed to the bathroom on his way. “Bath.”

Evan wasn’t usually one for taking baths, mainly because his six-foot frame didn’t fold into standard baths easily, but he could make it work. Owen was obviously trying hard to make the day a good one, so who was Evan to argue? He slid into the warm water, humming when the heat seeped into him. He rested his head back against the bath pillow he hadn’t known they’d had and closed his eyes.

He had his own plans for Valentine’s Day, but nothing like what Owen seemed to have. All Evan had planned was for them to have a walk along the River Thames before getting onto the boat for a quick ride. He would happily cancel that, though, if Owen had different ideas. He’d imagined this day many times over the years, but nothing had seemed right for their relationship when the day actually arrived. They were completely different people than who they were when they were younger.

Owen tapped on the door and poked his head in. “Breakfast is almost ready.”

Evan smiled. “I’ll just dry off and I’ll be with you.”

“I can bring it in here if you’d like?”

Evan shook his head. “I’m good. Won’t be long.”

Owen stepped closer, leaning down to kiss him, and then backed away again. “See you in a minute.” He closed the door, and Evan sighed in contentment.

“If only life was always as easy as this,” he muttered.

He climbed out of the bath and drained the water, drying and dressing before going to find Owen. He aimed for the terrible singing, a smile creeping across his face. Getting them back to that karaoke bar would be essential at some point.

“Hey!” Owen said, wiping his hands. “Right this way, kind sir.”
