Still, I couldn’t help but follow her every move. Watching her closely. She put on a good show of hiding it from her friends, but I didn’t miss it. I didn’t miss the shadows in her eyes.
Also, don’t think in any way that Twister missed it either. The man claimed her as his daughter, but she’s not his biological daughter. It’s obvious considering the fact she doesn’t share any resemblance to him or his ol’ lady. Not like Mercy or their two boys do.
April.
Her name suits her, though it seems she doesn’t want to be reminded that her birthday is also April first. Hell, I don’t blame her, she’s got to share the day with a bunch of pranks and shit since it’s April Fool’s Day. Funny though is that she’s April and I’m Fool. My brothers would have a field day with that shit.
Guess it’s a good thing I ain’t going there with her.
Not because I don’t want to get in there. April’s got one sweet body. Perfect set of tits. Just the right amount to fill a man’s hands. Her ass is just as amazing in the jeans she’s wearing, but it’s those legs that I wouldn’t mind feeling wrapped around my waist.
Fuck.
She’s off limits. No way I can go there. We can’t disrespect the DRMC in a way that could cause trouble for us and going for one of those three girls or any of the daughters that are here today, not that the others are actually old enough for such things, it would cause a war.
I need to just find one of the free pussies that are inside and forget about this one.
But her words still ring in my ears. They might not have been for anyone to hear, but I heard them and so did Twister. She hates her birthday.
Don’t know why, but no one, especially a beautiful woman like her, should hate a day that’s meant to be celebrated.
“You good over here brother?” Hazzard asks joining me while also handing me a fresh beer. “You sittin’ here all alone like you are when you should be busy enjoying yourself, not sulkin’.”
“I’m good, Haz, just been enjoying the view.” It ain’t a lie. Hazzard isn’t a man you lie to. He can sniff that shit out quicker than you can blink. He’s always been that way. Even when we were kids.
“I see that. Shame that view is off-limits.” Hazzard chuckles and looks at me. “Which one you watchin’ more than the other?”
“Birthday girl,” I tell him and lift my beer to take a hefty swallow.
“Gotta admit she’s a beauty.”
She’s more than just a beauty, but I’m not about to tell him that.
“Shame those three are off limits, or that one of them is Twister’s daughter while the other is Horse’s girl. Otherwise, I’d definitely be going for that one.” He nods toward Twister’s daughter.
“You’re looking to get killed, you go for that one.” I chuckle.
“Yeah, that would be why I ain’t even trying.”
This was good. I need my brother, he is the only blood I’ve got left; I don’t need him killed for going for pussy he shouldn’t be going for in the first place.
“Come on,” Hazzard says while slapping my back. “Let’s go find a couple of fresh beers and join the others.”
I nod and follow my brother to do what he says, but throughout the day I find myself looking to where April is.
A cake is brought out a while later and the members of the Devil’s Riot sing the ‘Birthday’ song to April while Lo and JC pretty much keep her from running away.
I wonder what makes her want to run away from those showing her how much they care for her.
The light outside turns to dark and the party shifts, those that are younger leave and the real party starts. I thought the three girls would’ve also left, but they didn’t. Instead, I’d seen Kayla grab the three of them a beer and go back outside the clubhouse.
Without April anywhere to catch my attention, I took a look at the other women that were around. You could tell the ol’ ladies apart from the ones who were the clubwhores. Hazzard had two curled up to him, giving him attention my brother enjoys.
Cannon and Hornet were standing by Twister and Horse, all four men laughing. The rest of my brothers were also enjoying themselves. They were definitely going to be able to make this alliance between the two clubs work out it seemed.
Not feeling it all that much, I make my way back toward my room, deciding to go ahead and crash. None of the women willing to give freebies appeal to me. Not after April caught my eye and she’s a no go for me.
At my door, I hold my breath, bracing in case some other prank is pulled on me. The door opens with ease and there’s nothing out of the ordinary.
