Page 78 of Kylan

“Hello,” Benji said quietly.

Fitch, keeping his eyes on us, nudged Kylan. “Damn, Kysie. No wonder you beg for it.”

Dominic sighed beside us. “Fitch, behave.”

The look Fitch gave to Dominic was pure mischiefand daring. Definitely a brat. And from the way Dominic hummed, it was pretty obvious that was how he liked it.

Kylan turned to Fitch and tugged on Fitch’s crop top. “You got the shirts, I see.”

Fitch grinned and laughed, pulling on his crop top to show the big bold letters.

He hadsmall thingswritten across his front.

Then the three of them turned to Dominic and he rolled his eyes, and with a tired sigh, he turned around to show us the back. Sure enough, in much smaller print at his nape wasgood things.

Good things . . . small packages.

Oh god.

“I compromised,” Dominic grumbled.

“You totally caved in,” Nolan said with a smirk.

I got the feeling Dominic caved in a lot when it came to Fitch.

We joined them in the kitchen while the three boys sat on the sofa in a conjoined mess of limbs and giggles, Kylan in the middle of it all, talking low and all smiles. There weren’t the words to explain how happy it made me.

Nolan held two empty wine glasses. “Can I get either of you a drink?” We both nodded, and Nolan poured two wines, then whispered, “He spoils Fitch rotten.”

Dominic grumbled again. “Like you can talk.”

“Like any of us can,” Marek added.

It was true.

“So,” Dominic said, nodding toward the three boys. “A little birdie told me there are no more secrets, no more privacy clauses.”

I smiled behind my wine glass. “A little birdie, huh? The little birdie next to our little birdie, I take it.”

Dominic smirked. “He also said Ky’s never been this happy.”

Marek smiled up at me. “Same. It’s been... a learning curve for all of us. We haven’t decided when to announce anything publicly though, but no more secrets.”

“It’s...” I wasn’t sure how to admit this. “It surprises me still just how much love a human heart can hold.”

Me saying that clearly surprised them, though not Marek. He slid his arm around me and smiled at them. “Thank you for inviting us. It clearly means a lot to Kylan. He loves those boys.”

We all looked over to the three boys, who paused their whispered chatter long enough to look at us.

Kylan’s eyes met mine and the smile he gave me gave me butterflies.

It was so ridiculous.

“Thank you for coming,” Nolan said quietly, seriously. “Benji really needed this. He needed them before the hearing this week.”

Ah, yes . . .

The court case of the year.
