“That’s true. He is probably on the run, but the thing is, I know what he’s going through. The betrayal and panic. He worked with the Enzos for years. Alongside my brother, he trusted them, and they killed his best friend. What happened to him wasn’t fair. I want to help him.”
Rodion glances at Radmir, who nods his approval.
“Alright. Roman, you can start doing a bit of a deep dive to see if you can find any trace of him. Phone tracking, his name showing up anywhere, credit card use, flights, whatever… See what you can find. And Renat and Ruvim—start asking around on the street. Someone knows something.”
They both nod.
“I want to go after that asshole,” Ruvim says, heated by anger he still holds towards Marat. “I think we should take his sister. Especially if he’s messed with Andrei and not stuck to his agreement to leave everyone involved safe.”
I shake my head, fearing for Ava’s safety. “I don’t think she was involved in what her brother did,” I comment.
“That’s not the point,” Ruvim argues.
“Besides, isn’t it better to wait? Find Andrei first, and then move on the Enzos? The longer they have to believe they got away with it all, the more secure they will feel and the easier it will be to take them on.”
Rodion nods. “She’s right. Marat is still tense and on high alert. We should wait. In the meantime, find Andrei. He will have some great insider information for us if we can convince him to work with us.”
I am so relieved, I let out a loud breath and my shoulders drop. Radmir chuckles and I flush pink. They will find Andrei. If anyone can do it—Roman will be able to.
That afternoon, back at our home, Radmir’s warm hands wrap around me from behind as I stand out on the patio holding the towel around my body.
“How was the water?” he asks, leaning his chin on the top of my head.
“Still a little cold, but definitely warmer than last week.”
“I can turn the heater on for you, you know.” He laughs.
“That defeats the whole point of having an ice swim. The cold water is good for you. One day I’ll convince you to join me and you can find out for yourself,” I tease him, turning in his arms, I thread my arms around his waist and stand on my tiptoes to kiss him.
A growl of satisfaction rolls through his chest when he realizes that I’m not wearing any swimwear underneath the towel.
“You went in naked?” he asks, his voice low and seductive.
“I did.” I grin.
“You went in naked and I missed it,” he remarks, his eyes growing darker as he stares down at me.
“You missed it.” I giggle, shrugging a little.
He tugs at my towel and it slips from my body, falling to the floor. I squeal and press tighter against him. “Rad, I have to get ready.” I giggle.
He shakes his head. “There is still plenty of time before your family arrives for dinner, and you know my family—they are always a little late.”
He knows how excited I’ve been to have both of our families over tonight. It’s not the first time they’ve met. Things between us all is going really well, and I love having them here.
It feel like we are all healing when we spend time together in such a big group. The warmth and vibes of a massive family take a small amount of the sting away from not having Grigor with us.
I wiggle in his arms and his hands brush down my back to grab my ass.
“Rad, I have to get ready,” I say again, but already I’m giving in to his touch. My words are weak and I’m not resisting at all.
Already I can feel my body responding and wanting him not to let me go.
He chuckles again.
“Is that so? Do you want to go and get ready? I can stop if you want—” he leans down and kisses me, pressing his hard cock against my stomach.
I let out a little whimper of desire and grip his shirt tightly.
