“Obviously we don’t have to tell him right away, but I’m telling you, right now, Finn, I want . . .” Jacob’s voice cracked. “Iwantyou. And not just for the night, or in bed, or to have that really, really good sex you aren’t sure you’ve ever had. I can’t stop thinking about you. How we fit together. Despite every reason that says we shouldn’t.”

“I know what I’m giving up,” Finn could admit it, barely. “What . . .what he’d say, if he found out.”

And funny enough, it was the advice Jacob had given him about acknowledging that his dad mightneverreally approve that helped make this more palatable.

He was going to wish Finn was different either way, so whyshouldn’tFinn have this?

“If this is what I think it could be, he’s going to find out. We’ll have to tell him, eventually.” Jacob paused. “I didn’t spend all these years in the closet just to come out and then hide my boyfriend. I don’t think it needs to be now, that kind of commitment, but I want that . . .someday. With you.”

Finn’s mouth was dry, now. Bone dry. He should be less turned on right now, not more, but he was. Incredibly.

Just from Jacob saying the wordboyfriend.Finn had never particularly wanted one before, but now that he’d seen what it could be like with Jacob, it was shockingly appealing.

“You look surprised,” Jacob said, making a face. “Did I freak you out—I didn’t mean to freak you—”

Finn flung himself forward with such force he nearly stumbled. But Jacob didn’t nearly catch him, he caught him. Physically. Metaphorically. His mind, his body, and his heart.

After he did, Jacob’s arms closed around him firm and tight, like he wasn’t going to let him go, not anytime soon, and to Finn, nothing had ever made as much sense as tilting his head up and kissing him.

For a moment, Jacob froze, his fingertips digging into Finn’s damp skin, lips not moving.

But then his touch shifted, sliding up Finn’s bare back, and he was kissing him back, the gentle, fierce possessiveness of his lips telling Finn everything he needed to know.

Finn sank into him, into the water and into Jacob’s embrace. His tongue slipped into Jacob’s mouth, and they both groaned as the kiss went from tentative to gentle to intense to wild.

Finn slid fully into Jacob’s lap, his lips still moving against Jacob’s, not willing even for a single second, to stop. His blood was hot and getting hotter, his cock brushing against Jacob’s taut, muscular stomach, and he thought, for a split second,it’s too good, I can’t take anymore, it’s already so damn good.

But the thought had just crossed his mind when Jacob had the nerve to pull back.

“Wait, wait,” Jacob said breathlessly, his dark eyes huge.

“What, why?” Finn said, his own breathing not exactly steady. He curled his hand around Jacob’s shoulder, glorying in how large and firm it felt.

He only wanted to get closer, to feel every inch of Jacob’s skin pressed against his. In fact, he wasn’t even sure hecouldget as close as he wanted.

From the way Jacob kept stroking his back—from the sensitive skin on his spine right under his hairline, all the way down tothe top of his bare ass—Finn wondered if he felt the exact same goddamn way. But he’d stopped them, hadn’t he?

“I just . . .” Jacob kissed him again, all too briefly. “I just want to make sure you’re—”

“I wouldn’t have kissed you otherwise.”

Jacob chuckled and his fingertips skated lower, barely brushing down the curve of his ass. Finn’s cock got impossibly harder, his stomach clenching with arousal. “I really want you. So much, it’s made me sure I can handle this. But I want you to be sure, too.”

Finn considered just kissing Jacob again. Making it clear, without words, that he’d never been surer of anything in his whole goddamn life. That he knew, without a doubt, if he gave Jacob his heart, he’d treat it carefully.

But the words were clearly important to Jacob. So Finn said them. “I’m sure,” he said. “Of you. And me. Of us together.”

The only warning Finn got was how Jacob straight-up trembled at the way Finn saidus together, and then Jacob was kissing him. Fiercely. Passionately.

If Jacob worried Finn wouldn’t be as into this as he was, the way he kissed him answered every single question and incinerated every single doubt.

“You feel so good,” Finn murmured into his mouth as they kissed.

Finn thoughthefelt good? Finn felt like goddamn heaven in his arms, like everything he’d ever wanted and told himself he couldn’t have.

He’d expected that maybe if he fell off the wagon of self-denial, he might get thisonce. Maybe twice.

Mostly he hadn’t expected that it would happen at all.
