“Which one is your favorite?” T asks in my ear.
I throw him a look over my shoulder, “I don’t choose favorites.”
The four of them laugh and Goose says, “Even in flowers.”
“I don’t really know if I had a favorite flower before today, but I now have four,” I confess to them.
They laugh again, and I take a second to consider what a lucky girl I am to have them, “So, where are we going tonight?”
“How do you feel about going to a concert?” Mav asks.
I shrug, “Never been, so I can’t say.”
Goose tips his head back and shakes it at the ceiling before looking back to me, “You have no idea what you’re missing.”
“That means we get to pop your concert cherry,” T says, still behind me.
I roll my eyes and slap his arm playfully, “Who are we going to see?”
Lucas, practically vibrating with excitement, says, “Beauty in Lies.”
“Their shows are always sold out,” Goose adds. “It took Mav pulling some strings to get us tickets.”
That’s interesting. I wonder who he knows in the business that allows for those kinds of strings, maybe I could get him to tell me some day.
Mav interrupts my inner thoughts, “Speaking of which, we need to get going or we’re going to be late.”
I throw on my jacket and check to make sure I have all of my stuff in my pockets before we lock up. Teagan makes a sound and I turn to find him looking angrily toward the apparently offensive jacket, and it makes me laugh.
“Why are we not taking the Rover tonight?” I ask as I see Lucas’ truck in the driveway. I’ve gotten so used to taking it when all of us are together, that it’s weird not seeing it here.
Lucas throws his arm around my shoulders as we walk, “We’ve got to head into the city, and Mav tends to get road rage there.” Said subject throws Lucas a ‘fuck you’ look and Lucas laughs as he adds, “Besides, I’m more partial to my truck now. What about you?”
My face goes red all the way to my ears as Teagan groans, “Seriously dude? Rub it in why don’t you?”
Lucas laughs and kisses me on the cheek before walking around to the driver’s side. Teagan reaches out for my hand to help me into the back where Mav is already waiting. It’s been so long since I’ve been in a skirt that I don’t think about it raising up in the back as I lean over to get in.
I yelp in surprise as teeth catch me right under my right ass cheek.
“Sorry, not sorry,” T says, jumping in behind me. “You can’t put that right in my face without repercussions.”
Lucas laughs in the front seat as Goose shakes his head with a smile. Mav looks jealous as fuck, but not at Teagan. I’d wager to say that I’ll be getting in on his side next time.
“Here, let me help you out of this,” T says working my jacket off my shoulders. “If you get cold, you’ve got us to warm you up.”
I have a feeling tonight is going to be filled with those sexual innuendos, and it’s just getting started.
It takes us about an hour and a half to drive into the city. Goose turns on the band that we’re going to see, and plays their music the whole way. I must say that I’m in fucking love with their sound. When we pull up outside of the venue, I’m bouncing off my seat excited.
Lines to get in that wrap around the venue can’t even put a damper on my mood. Luckily for us, Mav knows his people. He got us VIP passes that let us just walk right in. There’s some kind of meet and greet thing after, but all I’m worried about right now is seeing if they sound as good on stage as they did in the truck.
We find our spots close to the side of the stage just in time to see the opening act take their places. The open space around us disappears quickly as more people flood into the arena. Thankfully, I have my own personal body guards who make four separate walls around me. Mav stands behind me with his hands on my hips, T to my left, Goose on my right and Lucas takes point in front of me. They aren’t going to let me get lost in the crowd, which I couldn’t be any more grateful for.
The band on stage kill it, but waiting on the sound that I heard in the truck makes me feel like all of the molecules in my body are bouncing around trying to escape.
As they finish, and the lights go dark, Goose leans down to my ear and asks, “Having fun?”
It’s still so loud from all of the people that I don’t bother trying to answer. I just nod, and he grins at me. The announcement for the main band is made, and I go up on my tiptoes to throw my arms around Lucas’ neck. He leans back so I can reach his ear, “Here they come.”
