I tap my foot relentlessly, tears brimming in my eyes as my phone constantly rings off the hook with my brother sending tons of berating messages about how he knew he couldn’t trust me and he would be taking Shawn because I’ve gone insane pulling out a knife on a man of that asshole’s status.

Fuck him. Shawn isn’t getting taken from me. He and I both know I’ll ride for my son, and I’ll do anything, and I mean anything, for him, so I didn’t even dignify his nonsense with a response. No, I just focus on my owner and this woman who’s batting her eyes at him prettily as if she’s dying for them to be plucked out.

When they finally part ways, and I see him go to his car, I step out of mine and sprint up on him, placing the same knife against his back that he placed up to mine.

“Wha the hell?!”that voice! I was too far away to hear it first, but now that I hear it, I’m sure… I’m so fucking sure.

“How could you do this to me?!” I tremble, pressing the knife point near his spine.

“Lady, are you crazy?” His voice, which sounds exactly like my Owner’s, sends fire shooting through my veins.I thought I would never get to hear this voice again.

“Saw, how could you?! How could you do this to me?!” my voice shakes, tears falling from my eyes.

“Look, I think you have me confused with someone else. I?—”

“Shut up, you son of a bitch! I would never get you confused with someone else! Never!” I shout, shaking, juice dripping down my legs at being so near him after all this time.

“I’m telling you I am n?—”

“Lux, I—” I round, pulling a gun on the woman he was with. They both go still, and she ducks, covering her head.

“Oh, I know! I know you can’t remember me because I wasn’t a good girl! I wasn’t someone who listened to you from the start. Did she? Did you replace me with this bitch?” I ask as I come over to her, grasping her hair, looking at her face and I want to throw up.

But instead, I throw the bitch to the side and cock my gun. “Is this who you threw me away for?! After all these years I waited?!” I ground out the words through my teeth and go to pull the trigger, eliciting another scream from her.

“HEY!” he shouts, “You leave her alone, you crazy bitch! I don’t know how many times I have to tell you I am not the person you are looking for!”

I throw my head back, cackling because I would never in a million years forget my Owner. From the bass in his voice to the way his eyes sparkled when I willingly listened to his command no matter how nasty or wrong it was. IknowSaw!

“You’re wrong. I know! If I get rid of her, I cou?—”

“Fi-fine!” his voice trembles, causing me to pause…that’s new. I have never heard Saw sound so… emotional.Does he love this woman that much? What does she have that I don’t?I see she really has to die.“Don’t. I uhm… I lied… I’m him… I’m th-this Saw person you’re talking about. H-how about w-we g-go somewhere and t-talk this out?!” he stammers, and I hesitate for a while, heart thumping.

“...I knew it!” I smile, taking my finger off the trigger. “I knew it was you!” I giggle, then frown. “But why did you do this to me? Why did you leave me alone all this time.? No, why did you leaveus!Saw, we have a son! You left me with a gift. I protect him and I love and I give him a good life. I want you to meet him!” I tell him, and he cuts his eyes to the woman, but I step in the way. “Why aren’t you listening to me?”

“I w-was only thinking we should have this conversation s-somewhere else. I… uhm… mean this i-is the first time we… we’ve seen each other in a few months.”

“Months?” I frown. “It’s been years!” I exclaim, heart breaking that he doesn’t remember.

“Lady you are crazy! That man is not someone you can easily threaten! He is the oil tycoon, Lux Burke. Whoever you are trying to compare him to is—” I smack the gun across her face, shutting her up.

“How dare you try to tellmewhomyOwner is?” I spit with venom, and I hear sniffling, glancing over to see Saw crying. This time I falter completely. I have never seen Saw cry… not once… and overher?

My heart breaks, and this time, I can’t take it.Tears? Those are special. That’s something someone would only do for someone they love… Saw never cried for me. Does that mean he never loved me, but he’ll shed tears for this woman? I grasp her head, putting the gun up to her temple but he opens the door to his car.

“H-hey, I thought we were going somewhere private?” he questions, and I nod.

“Of course we are, Saw. I just need to take care of this bitch fir?—”

“NO!” he shouts, and my body goes still as I moan, hearing that commanding voice again. His eyes go wide in shock and something else. “C-come here n-now!” he states, and I swallow, but without hesitation, I go to him, and he points. “Get in!” he commands, and I do that as well.

I think he’s going to turn to the woman who’s crying on the ground, bleeding from her nose that I busted, but he, to my shock, gets in and places his shaking hands on the steering wheel.

“T-tell me where,” he voices, and I beam.

“Saw, do you mean it?! Are you going to come with me?!” He glances at me out of the corner of his eye, smiling half-heartedly, but that’s okay… I just want him to pay attention to me.

“Y-yes. I’ll go wherever you want me to,” he swallows and I sit back, bouncing as I put my seatbelt on.
