“Just drive!” Lucas barks.
And then I feel his hand on my panty-clad pussy. My eyes shoot open just as I try to drive my knee up, but it doesn’t work. The space is too small, and he’s on top of me. He shoves my leg back down and parts my thighs with enough force to leave bruises.
“This is how you like it now, huh?” He smiles through his snarl. “I gotta say, I like this version of you.”
I close my eyes again and silently vow not to open them again. I already saw more of him than I wanted to again, and his pronounced arousal over hurting me makes me almost as sick as the thought of what is about to happen. What I can’t stop.
I feel his hot breath on my ear as he whispers, “I’m really going to enjoy this, babygirl.”
That’s what Duke calls me.The tears burn painfully behind my eyes.
“I’ll have you calling me Daddy by the end of the week,” he promises me, stroking the side of my face.
No. No, please, no.
But my silent prayers don’t stop him from tugging my panties down roughly.
Why did I leave? Why?! I should have convinced Duke to run away with me! To?—
There’s a sudden smack against the side of the car that throws Lucas back. My eyes spring open and I shrink back away from him, curling into a ball in the corner.
“What the fuck?” Pukey shouts.
“Keep driving!” Lucas demands.
There is a roar as Pukey floors the gas pedal and our car shoots forward. I turn my head and see a red truck in hot pursuit of the car I’m in. There are also two police cruisers following, lights flashing and sirens blaring.
“Go faster!”
The car is hurtling forward at alarming speed, but even that feels better than having Lucas on top of me. Thinking fast, I reach over and pull out the seat belt, though we’re moving so quickly my hand keeps slipping, finally I get the belt securely fastened.
Lucas is white as a sheet. I can’t help but enjoy the thought of all his sins catching up to him at long, long last.
The stop light in front of us switches to red and Pukey instinctively starts to slow down.
“What are you doing, you moron?” Lucas shouts.
From where I sit, I can see Pukey’s hands turn white as he grips the wheel as tight as possible. We sail right through the red light, and though a car blares its horn and nearly slams into us, we jolt through unscathed.
The patrol cars are still in hot pursuit, and with a sudden swerve that has me thankful I buckled my seatbelt, we speed down an alley.
“Stop the car!”
“Boss, we can’t!” Bull objects. “If we stop, they’ll catch us for sure!”
“They’ll catchyou,” he counters, his voice as hard as his black eyes. “And while they’re dealing with you, Ginny and I are going to get out of here.”
My body is frozen in disbelief. I knew Lucas was a selfish asshole, but this is surprising, even to me. It’s clear the guys are questioning it too as they exchange looks.
“Now!” he bellows.
Almost immediately, Pukey slams on the brakes. I slam into the backseat, but I don’t even have time to check myself for damage before Lucas is hurling orders.
Suddenly, despite everything, I feel sorry for Lackey One and Lackey Two. I don’t know what circumstances brought them to this point, but I did know that they were going to give themselves up as a sacrifice so that Lucas could keep evading the cops. I hesitate, almost wanting to say something to them, but unsure of what.
“Pukey…”
“What?” Pukey blinks at me. “Who is she talking to?” he asks Bull.
