She started slow, her body undulating with a natural rhythm that drove him wild. Her eyes fluttered shut as she found her pleasure, her breath hitching with each deep, deliberate thrust. Logan matched her movements, his own need building with each passing moment.

"That's it," he encouraged, his hands exploring her body as she rode him. "You're in control."

Serena's pace quickened, her movements becoming more frantic as she chased her release. Logan's own climax was fast approaching, a tide of pleasure that threatened to overwhelm him. He gritted his teeth, holding back until he felt her tighten around him, her orgasm washing over her in waves.

The sound of her cries of pleasure was his undoing. With a final, forceful thrust, he let go, spilling himself deep inside her. The sensation was intense, a primal roar building in his chest as he claimed her once again.

They stayed like that for a moment, joined together as their breathing slowly returned to normal. Logan pressed a gentle kiss to Serena's neck, his bear content now that their mate was well-pleasured and thoroughly claimed.

"You never stop amazing me," he murmured, his hands stroking her back soothingly. "I hope you know that."

Serena laughed softly, her forehead resting against his. "You're not so bad yourself, Logan Steele."

He mock-growled, nipping playfully at her lower lip. "Just 'Logan' will do, Ms. Bloom."

She rolled her eyes fondly, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before climbing off his lap.

Logan watched her as she sauntered over to the dresser, fetching them both a pair of discarded pajama bottoms. He accepted the clothing with a nod of thanks, his gaze lingering on her curves as she dressed.

"You know," he said, pulling on his own pants and standing up to stretch, "I think this might be the best part of the day."

Serena quirked an eyebrow at him, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh? And what part is that?"

He closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close. "The part where we get to laugh and enjoy each other's company, of course."

He kissed her, a lingering promise of many more nights just like this one. "And I hope you know, I plan on spending a lot more nights with you, just like this."

Serena's laughter filled the room, a sweet melody that warmed Logan's heart. "I'm counting on it," she said, her fingers running through his messy hair.

They tumbled back onto the bed, and Logan pulled Serena closer. Her back pressed against his chest as they lay in the comfortable silence of their bedroom. Her hair tickled his nose, carrying the scent of her lavender shampoo. His bear hummed contentedly inside him, satisfied to have their mate safe in their arms.

"You know," he murmured against her neck, "I never really thought I'd get a second chance at this."

Serena turned in his arms to face him. "At what?"

"Being with you again. Loving you again." He traced his thumb along her jawline. "I was an idiot to let you go the first time."

She poked his chest playfully. "We were both idiots. But we figured it out eventually."

"Better late than never." He captured her hand and kissed her palm. "I love you, Serena. More than I did back then, and that's saying something."

Her smile lit up her whole face. "I love you too, you big grumpy bear."

Logan growled playfully, nipping at her ear. "I'm not grumpy."

"Sure you're not." She yawned, snuggling closer. "Just possessive and overprotective."

"Damn right." He tightened his arms around her. "And don't you forget it."

SERENA

Serena finished applying the healing potion to the injured fox's leg. The morning sun streamed through the newly installed skylights, filling the expanded medical wing with golden light. A year had transformed the sanctuary into something even more special than before - with its enhanced facilities and reinforced magical protections woven into every wall.

"There you go, sweet thing," she murmured, scratching behind the fox's ears. The animal nuzzled her hand in response, making her smile.

"Talking to the patients again?" Logan's deep voice carried across the room as he entered, his dark hair tousled from his morning rounds. Her heart still skipped a beat every time she saw him, especially when he gave her that crooked grin.
