He looks as if he’s thinking and my heart rate picks up in my chest. With a slow smile, his eyes twinkle when he asks, “How does forever sound?”
“Forever sounds perfect.”
chapter nine
CALLUM
We go back out to the rest of the guests to see Henry and Alex are no longer there. Oh well. Henry is a fool. Not only did he cheat on Hudson, but he also attempted to get him back while the man he cheated with was just outside. I’m so glad he’s not that smart, or I wouldn’t have ended up with this amazing man sitting beside me, trying to get comfortable with a sore ass.
I didn’t think Hudson would give himself to me like that. I knew I wanted his ass, knew I wanted to be inside him, but no one looks at me and thinks I’m vers. I’m automatically a bottom and it’s up to me to ask for something different. Hudson didn’t even ask, he just knew.
That’s not to say I’m not anxiously waiting for him to fuck me. From the first time I felt his hard-on against my leg when he kissed me the first time, I have been imagining how his cock would feel as he pumped into me, hard and deep.
Seeing Hudson step out of the bathroom in his suit, hair brushed back, and his beard trimmed, I almost want to skip this ceremony and feel it now. I stare at him for a moment, taking him in.
Stepping close to him, I shake my head. “You look …” my voice trails off as I blow out a breath of appreciation. “Damn, Hudson. I saw you in a suit for our first date, but I forgot how fucking good you look in one.”
Hudson blushes and drops his head, rubbing a hand over his soft belly. “Thanks, Cal. You know you always look good.” He pulls me close, planting a soft kiss on my lips. I try to take it further, but Hudson cuts it off, chuckling as he steps back. “No, we were late last night. They’re not going to wait for us this time.”
Even though I know he’s right, I still try to steal another kiss. Hudson grabs my hand, spins me around and pushes me lightly to the door. “Come on, troublemaker,” he says, holding my hips as he walks behind me. He bends to my ear and says, “Let’s see these two get married and I’m all yours after they say, ‘I do.’”
Sighing dramatically, I put my hands over his and Hudson walks closer to me, wrapping his arms around me snugly. “Fine. But I’m holding you to that. You’re all mine as soon as the ceremony is over.”
Hudson kisses me on the neck, making me shiver. “Anything you want, baby.”
“What if I want you to fuck me?”
Groaning, Hudson turns me around and kisses me hard. I grip the lapels of his suit, pulling him closer as he pushes me against the wall behind me. His hand drifts down to my ass and he squeezes, his hard dick brushing against my belly. I want to card my hands through his hair so badly, but I know we have to be presentable for the ceremony.
Snatching my mouth from his, I place my head against his chest, breathing rapidly. “You don’t play fair,” I whisper, not raising my head, because I know I’ll want to devour his lips again. “How long is this ceremony supposed to last?”
Hudson laughs and kisses the top of my head. “Just thinking about fucking you makes me want to skip it. John is lucky we’re friends.” His gruff voice has me looking up at him and he takes that opportunity to kiss me again.
I’m not sure how long we make out, but we’re interrupted by a knock on the door. Shit, are we late again?
Pulling apart, Hudson adjusts himself and straightens my jacket. I left my hair down, so there’s nothing to fix there and I didn’t tug on Hudson’s hair like I usually do. When we’re sure we’re presentable, hand in hand, we walk to the door.
It’s John’s sister, Brena. With a raised eyebrow, she says, “Couldn’t have you two late for the ceremony. Guess it’s a good thing I knocked.”
I peek at Hudson and his lips are swollen from our kisses and my face feels a little scratchy from beard burn. I can only imagine how red it is. The blush I feel lighting up my cheeks isn’t making it any better.
“Sorry,” Hudson murmurs, grabbing my hand.
“All good. The ceremony hasn’t started. We still have five minutes, but I don’t want anything holding up my brother’s big day.” She turns to us with a dazzling smile, her obvious happiness for her brother radiating off her.
Hurrying behind Brena, Hudson and I make our way down to the area set up for the ceremony. The breeze is blowing softly across the water, giving the air a cool feel that probably isn’t common for California at this time of year. But it feels great.
We sit down and assess those gathered. Alex is right across the aisle from us, sitting on Derek’s side since Henry is his best man. I’m not sure if I hope he and Henry live a happy life together or not, since he was a party in breaking Hudson’s heart. But if it weren’t for the two of them, I wouldn’t have him, and I don’t plan to let him go. I’m not happy with what they did to him at all. Karma may get them, and it may not. Doesn’t matter to me, because I don’t plan to do anything that will fuck up what Hudson and I have.
Everyone looks good and happy. I glance over at Hudson only to find him already looking at me. Dipping my head self-consciously, I ask, “What?”
“You look great today, Callum. Happy. I almost can’t stop staring at you.”
“It’s you. What we talked about last night. Knowing you love me too,” I whisper, looking at him shyly. “I can’t help but be really happy about that.”
Hudson throws his arm around me, pulling me close to him and kissing my forehead. “I like you happy. I’ll make sure you’re always happy.”
Our lips meet softly, then the ceremony begins. It’s beautiful. The love between John and Derek is palpable and I find myself wishing for what they have. The heavy weight of Hudson’s arm around my shoulder gives me hope that I might get it.
