She slaps my arm and replies, “That would be the essence of us, dickhead. You don’t make that smell on your own.”

She drops her arms and steps away from me, and I pick up the condom, pulling the tissue from my pocket and wrapping it up, before grabbing the wrapper and the bottle of lube, putting all of it in my pocket.

I grab the sash of her robe, and then take her hand, and we begin walking back, both of us quiet as we make the journey to the house. We get back to the deck, and I see the table has been cleared, so I turn to Issa and say, “I thought everyone left?”

Her eyes widen and her cheeks flush as she replies, “They did.”

I sigh, knowing there’s a very short list of people who could possibly be on my property without me having to let them in.

I pick up her robe and help her into it, securing the sash around her waist as I reply, “It’s probably my brother. If it was Tony, we would’ve been rudely interrupted by a bunch of dogs.”

She laughs, a look of horror on her face as she responds, “Oh, God. That means he –”

I shrug as I interrupt, “Basically, yes. But if it’s any consolation, Darius would applaud before ever judging.”

“You should just be happy Antoinette isn’t here,” Darius says from the doorway. “She’s likely to try to join in at this point.”

Her jaw drops open, and she gapes at him, and then sputters, “She would join in?”

Dare nods and replies easily, “She’s a wild one. Don’t even get her started on,” he pauses and makes air quotes before continuing, “Brothers.”

Her mouth closes, and she frowns, but after a moment, she says, “Oh, I totally get that.”

Now, I frown. “Don’t get any ideas, darlin’.”

She looks at me innocently. “What?”

I narrow my eyes and snag her around the waist with my arm, yanking her into me as I reply, “You know.”

She smiles and waggles her brows as she says innocently, “I haven’t the foggiest idea. Maybe spell it out for me.”

Now Dare laughs as he says, “Don’t spell it out for her, Dec. It’s a trap.”

I huff and then lean down and place a hard kiss on her lips before releasing her and walking toward Dare with her trailing behind me. I stop in front of him as I retort, “Everything is a trap with these women. Why didn’t you warn me?”

“I tried to,” he replies. “But you wouldn’t listen. You just had to have her so here you are.”

“You better watch yourself, Darius, or I’ll call Antoinette and tell on you.”

I shove Dare out of the way and enter the house, the two of them following me into the living room, where I take a seat in one of the oversize chairs. Issa moves to walk by me, but I grab her arm and yank her onto my lap. She pushes against my chest and says, “I was going to go put some clothes on.”

“In a minute,” I reply, pressing my face into her neck and squeezing her. “With all the PDA I’ve had to put up with from that guy, he can deal with it.”

She giggles and smacks my chest, then pushes away from me, and I release her, giving her a swat on the ass as she makes her escape.

I watch her until she’s out of sight, and then I sit back and look at Dare and ask, “Why are you here?”

Dare sits on the sofa across from me and points at the table in front of him. “I brought you that.”

My eyes widen, and I raise my brows as I take in the thick folder on the coffee table. “That was quick.”

“That’s what happens when you put Matt on a job. Psychological warfare is his specialty.”

I slide to the edge of my chair and pick up the folder, placing it on the tops of my thighs and opening the front, my lips curving up into a smile as I look over the paperwork, my excitement growing with each detail I read. Dare takes his phone out and sends a message to someone, so I ask, “Where is Antoinette?”

He sighs, making a flippant gesture with his hand as he replies, “Off with Agatha and Lilith, doing God only knows what.”

I laugh at the almost dejected look on his face as I respond, “Are you upset you’re not invited?”
