He glanced down at my ballet tights and the X-rated arousal they contained. “Well, maybe not ahugeproblem.”
“Cheeky fucker.” I pressed closer and his head fell back against the wall.
“Oh god,” he groaned.
“I can’t dance with the world’s biggest erection.” I ran my nose up the side of his face, inhaling the scent of him.
He huffed. “Not unless you’re a very horny Puck.”
I crushed my lips to his and disappeared into the world according to Kane.
After a few seconds he broke away, panting. “Jesus, Abe. We can’t do this here. The kids.”
“Yeah, have some respect.” Judah pulled open the door, scaring the living daylights out of me. “You could hear that moan from the space station, and the kids are about to get their last bathroom break. Wrap it up.” He smirked and let the door fall shut again, muttering, “Kids these days.”
“He’s right.” I stepped back and straightened Kane’s shirt, saw the tent in his trousers, and curled my finger in his belt loop, pulling him back in for just one more kiss. “You look sizzling tonight.” I ran a finger up his dick. “You better get rid of this before you scare the kids and half the adults.”
Kane cocked his head. “What about the other half of the adults?”
I snorted. “They’ll just wanna fuck you. Have you noticed how gay this town is?”
He laughed, adjusted himself, and headed for the exit door to cool down. I glanced at my own raging hard-on and followed Judah into the bathroom where I endured the ribbing from hell, which funnily enough did the trick. In under a minute, I was respectable.
When he was done taking the piss, he leaned back against the basin and studied me. “You two seem pretty close.”
I sighed. “Yeah, maybe too close.”
He huffed. “Is there such a thing? I mean, you’resingle,he’ssingle—”
“Iwork overseas.Helives in Painted Bay. So, yeah, definitely too close.”
Judah’s shrewd gaze held mine. “But you really like him, don’t you?”
I hesitated long enough to answer his question without saying a word.
“Wow,” was all he said.
“Wow, what?” I tried to sound dismissive. “Don’t jump to conclusions.”
“Okay, then tell me I’m wrong.” He waited.
And being the idiot that I was, I couldn’t lie to my friend, and so I said nothing, answering his question once again.
“Oh boy.” He sighed and looked a little sad. “Believe me, I’m no expert on this stuff—”
My hands shot up. “Dear god, I can’t believeyou’regoing to counselmeon relationships?”
Judah scowled.“ButI’ve learned a thing or two this last year about life in general, so here’s my twenty cents worth for nothing.”
I steeled myself because—Judah Madden handing out love advice? Yeah, that was a history-making and somewhat-terrifying scenario.
“Life has a habit of fucking with us in ways we never expect,” he said, folding his arms across his chest and looking all kinds of serious.
“Admittedly, an eloquent start.”
He whacked me on the arm. “Pay attention. This is shit Idoknowabout.”
“Sorry. But you have to admit—” His glare stopped me in my tracks, and I mimed zipping my lips.
