“It might have been.” I gave him my best charming smile. “You leant it to me after I spilt something on my T-shirt once, and I just… forgot to give it back.”
“I see.” He raised an eyebrow but grinned. “It looks good on you. I like seeing you in my clothes.”
“Good, because this is perfect for lounging in, and I have no intention of giving it back. Unless you really want me to.”
“Nah, you keep it.” He swung his legs out of bed and stood, giving me the perfect view of his ass and then his dick as he turned to face me. God, he was delicious. I just wanted to eat him all up. It was almost heartbreaking watching him get dressed. Patrick pulled on his jeans, and I suddenly wished I had some more comfortable clothes to offer him. Although he looked utterly fabulous in them, they weren’t going to be the most comfortable thing to sit on the floor and eat in. I was going to rectify the not having some clothes of Patrick’s in my wardrobe situation as soon as possible.
Maybe we should just move in together. That would make things so much easier.
I shook my head and chuckled to myself. Dating for less than two hours and deciding to move in together would have to be a world record. Except we’d already known each other for three years… and we constantly lived in each other’s pockets… I’d thought of it as a joke but maybe… maybe it wouldn’t be the stupidest idea I’d ever had.
It would save a lot of hassle in going backwards and forwards. Plus it would save us money on rent and petrol. I wasn’t fussed about giving this place up because Patrick’s house was nicer than my flat. Then again, maybe we could look for a place together. Something that would be ours.
“You okay?” Patrick asked. “You’re staring into space.”
“We should move in together,” I blurted out. Shit. I hadn’t meant to actually say it.
“Do… do you mean it?” Patrick stared at me like he wasn’t sure whether I was joking. It had sounded insane when I’d said it out loud.
“Yeah, I do.” Because now that it was out there, I realised I wanted that more than anything in the world. It just made sense.
“Okay. Let’s do it.” He reached for my hand, and when I took it, he pulled me across the room and into his arms, almost sweeping me off my feet. “I don’t want to spend another second without you beside me. I love you, Connor.”
His words filled my heart to the brim. All my fears and doubts had been washed away, and now I was wondering why I’d ever had them to begin with. “I love you too.”
