Emiliano comes home to me every night, though, insatiable as ever. He bends me over every chance he gets, has fucked me on every single surface of this house except for Matty’s room. Occasionally, he fucks me slowly, on my back, while he looks into my eyes. It’s intense, and it feels like I’ve transcended every single time. Making love to him has been a spiritual experience. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever be to God. I see heaven in his eyes every time he gazes into mine. He leaves me breathless, boneless. It’s an out-of-body experience, as if I’m watching it happen, and I’ll never tire of it.

Speaking of things I’ll never get tired of, it’s the way he takes care of me. I don’t like to cook, so he brings me dinner every single night. After eating, he takes me to the shower and washes every part of me reverently. He treats me like I’ll break under his hands, and for the first time in my life, it doesn’t bother me. I feel cherished, loved, and it’s jarring. I never thought we’d be here, but fuck, I wouldn’t trade this for anything in the world.

I hope he meant what he said about me being his future husband, because I don’t plan on going anywhere. He’s stuck with me now, and he’ll have to kill me if he wants me to leave his side. Not that I think he’ll ever be strong enough to do that. I see what I do to him, and even though sometimes I have my doubts and irrational insecurities, I know he loves me. I can feel it in my bones. It’s in the way he looks at me, in the way he touches me. With so much care and adoration I never thought he was capable of. Now that I’ve had it, I never want it to stop. Which is exactly why we’re in this new penthouse, walking through it with the purpose of starting fresh.

I don’t want to live inhispenthouse anymore. It holds too many memories with Matteo—painful memories now. I think if Emiliano and I have any hope of making it, we can’t live with the ghost of his son roaming our home. Besides, I want our home to beours. I want to decorate it with him. Pick out the furniture. Start over from scratch. I want all our memories to be new, and I want them all to be good. I know that’s probably unrealistic, but it’s better than what we have right now.

This penthouse is gorgeous too, with its four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. The hardwood floors are a dark chocolate brown, giving the home a masculine vibe. There are floor to ceiling windows all throughout the living area and in every single bedroom. We would have a view of the New York City skyline and the Hudson River, and we’d be close to amenities such as fine dining and bars. I know it’s a little way from his other businesses, but I don’t want to be that close to them. He has drivers, he can deal with it. The kicker? This place is expensive. I knew Emiliano had money, but this is on a different level.

The realtor let us in on a little secret; the last bid wassixmillion dollars for just the penthouse, and Emiliano wants to buy the entire building. It makes sense, as he owns the building where we currently live, and this is a new build, completely unoccupied. He’d be able to sell all the condos and make a profit. He’d probably be a fucking billionaire from it. Not that I don’t think he already is, but money has never mattered to me when it comes to him. We could be poor, and I’d still be in love with him. He’s irreplaceable.

When I told him I wanted to move, he didn’t even hesitate. We’ve walked through six penthouses today, but I’ve seen the way his eyes absolutely sparkled as we walked through this one. This istheone.

“So, what do you think?” I ask him, and he grins. “You like it?”

“I love it, Cole,” he replies softly, walking me through the primary bathroom. It’s bigger than the others, with a shower and a porcelain claw-foot tub. I stare at every surface, especially the vanity and mirror, and he smirks knowingly. “Can’t wait to fuck you right there.” He tips his chin to the sink, and I grin.

“Where else are you going to fuck me, Em?”

“Everywhere,” he grins. “Let’s go back to Lily.”

Lily is the realtor, and she’s waiting patiently in the kitchen when we make it back to her. She grins widely, knowing she’s going to make a hefty commission from us. Not only are we out-bidding the six million dollars, but he’s also offering to buy the entire high-rise. When he makes his bid, her jaw drops, and she nods quickly.

“Mr. Sokolov won’t be happy.” She frowns. “I can’t pass this up, though.”

Emiliano stiffens at the mention of the Pakhan, and now he has a fire lit inside of him, I just know it. Before, he wanted this penthouse for us, but now it’s a competition. He has to have it. I don’t take it personally, though. After all, he’s only given in because of what I want.

“Good.” Em smiles tightly, and it doesn’t reach his eyes. I know she can tell because she begins to shift on her feet. “I’d like to close on this as soon as possible.”

Lily nods. “Of course. I’ll get started today.”

“I can pay cash today,” Emiliano tells her, and her eyes widen. “Does that work for you, Lily?”

“Y-yes.” She swallows hard. “Of course.”

“I don’t want to take my chances on another bid,” he tells her patiently. “I want this finalized today.”

“But—”

“Nobuts.” He smiles. “I pay cash, and you draft the paperwork as soon as possible.”

“Yes, sir.”

Seemingly satisfied, Em nods, handing her a business card. “Here’s my contact information. I expect to hear from you today.”

“O-of course,” she stammers.

With those parting words, we head out to the blacked-out SUV. The windows are bullet proof, thankfully, and for the first time ever, I’m thinking we probably need that. Getting into the vehicle, I scoot over to the far end and begin to buckle up, but Emiliano stops me with a hand on my arm. I look over at him and he smirks.

“Did you like the place?” he asks me, and I nod. “Good. We can move as soon as we close on it.”

“I’m excited.” I grin, meaning it.

“You know what I’m excited for right now?” Emiliano whispers. “Getting you to suck my cock.”

My stomach flutters at his words, but I look back at our driver, who’s keeping his eyes trained on the road. He knows Emiliano might just claw them out if he sees something he’s not supposed to. So he keeps his gaze forward, and Em unbuttons his suit pants.

“Please, baby,” Emiliano says softly. “I need you.”
