Later turns out to be the nextmorning, and I can’t help but think my woman has a hell of an energy level asshe didn’t stop smashing things until I’m sure nothing is left intact. Sheknows some colorful curse words too, but it’s when she goes quiet that I startto think I may risk speaking to her again.
Tia, on the other hand, had runout of steam hours ago and had been humming and singing. But, she also seems tohave gone to sleep at last. The mansion has stilled, and the silence isdeafening at this point. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is waiting to see whathappens next. I have to admit I’m one of those everyone.
Chapter 13
Elli
Groaning as I move my hand to myforehead I can’t help but wonder why I’m feeling woozy. Blinking, I realize Idon’t recognize the chandelier…chandelier!! Sitting up quickly; I look aroundwith a deep frown. I don’t know this place! Where the heck am I, and where isTia?
Standing, although a littlewobbly, I make my way to the door on one side of the room and see it’s anensuite, great…freshening up and looking at myself in the mirror I remembereverything. Leaving work and getting something placed over my nose and mouth. Some asshole has kidnapped us, so again, where is Tia?
Rushing over to the door, I guessis the way out of the bedroom. I open it and face a guard, and looking at him,he’s a made man. “Oh fuck, Nico Vincholetti kidnapped me, right?” I ask of theman, and he gives me a lopsided grin, which is enough to answer my question. Iopen my mouth and bellow, “TIA…!”
“HERE, ELLI, WHERE ARE WE?” Isbellowed right back, and from the sound it’s coming from the bedroom acrossfrom mine and one door down to the right.
“IT’S NICO’S DOING,” I bellowback at her.
“Oh, fuck…” I hear from behindTia’s door, and I have to agree that was my first thought when I realized too.
“Do you have to shout?” The guardoutside Tia’s room asks, to which I give him the middle finger and re-enter thebedroom.
Checking the windows, I seeguards patrolling outside. That eliminates going out the window. Sitting on theedge of the bed, I have to think about what to do next.
Frustration builds, and as I knowI have no weapons, I need to devise something. Looking in the bathroom, thereis the mirror on the wall which I can smash and use a piece of. But I’d have towrap something around the base or I’d cut my hands to pieces in the process.
An hour later, I have a niceshard of glass with the base covered in a piece of the bedsheet. The sheet thatis in tatters now. That gives me an idea, and I pick up anything that can besmashed and throw it at the door and wall. My aim is not so good, which isunusual as I’m a great knife thrower as a norm. Maybe it’s the drug not out ofmy system yet!
I don’t care what I destroy. Ismash the chair, small desk, dresser drawers, and even the nightstands. This isgreat stress relief, I have to admit. But I’m keeping a few things at the readyfor when that asshole opens the door to enter, and he will at some point.
Shouting to Tia, and hoping shecan hear me, I tell her to trash her room; I clap with glee when she respondsshe heard me.
Puffing with effort, I hearfootsteps then speaking outside the door. I pick up the vase I kept handilyready, and I throw that straight at Nico’s head as he enters. Then I grabeverything I’ve kept at the ready and one after the other, I launch it at him,and the idiots that are standing alongside him.
I smirk as Nico is dragged out ofthe room…for his own safety, of course, and I giggle quietly to myself becausethere is more of my temper to come.
Making sure that not a thing canbe used in the room when I’m finished, I smirk as even one side of the bed iscollapsed, and that took some breaking. I was jumping on it like a trampolineand made sure I was most vicious with it until I busted the bed. I laughed forminutes afterwards. I’m sure the guy outside the door was asking his friend ifhe should risk seeing what I was doing, but his reply was, “Fuck no, leave herto it.”
Tia has been shouting back andforth with me, and we are both tired now. I suggested we get some rest readyfor ‘Round 2’ in a while when I have my breath back.
I must have fallen asleep becauseI suddenly realize everything is quiet and I need the bathroom. I climb off thebroken bed and quickly freshen up.
Stepping into the bedroom I sighas I’m ready to get the heck out of here. I need to get Tia and make a run forit. Opportunity knocks as the door opens and a woman steps inside. I don’t stopand think. I launch myself at her, knocking her and her tray of food out of myway.
The guard outside grabs my armand I grip his wrist, spin so my back is to his front, and flip him over myshoulder. I take a fighting stance and shout to Tia, “Girl, it’s time to roll.”
I don’t wait for her response asmy man is back up onto his feet, and his friend is heading my way. The woman issitting on her ass, looking shocked at what is happening around her. Bouncingonto my toes, I lift my fists under my chin and give this guy a steely look.I’m sure his feet halt for a second right before he launches forward. I duckunder his arm, elbow him in the back of his head right as Tia opens her doorand launches herself onto her guy's back.
The noise must attract attentionas from nowhere, more men appear. But they are not making any effort to grabhold of either me or Tia, and we take that advantage as we fight with all wehave.
Suddenly I’m lifted from behind,my arms pinned to my side, rendering my hands useless, but I throw my headback, aiming to smack this asshole in the face. Sadly, he must guess myintention and moves his head, so I only hit his shoulder. But my feet are kickingand I get a few in on his shins, I’m sure.
“Put them into this roomtogether,” someone snaps, and we are pushed into a room. The door slams closedbehind us.
Pushing the hair out of my face,I look at Tia who is standing with her hands on her hips, gasping for breathand more than a little red in the face. “Who the hell was that?” Tia asks, andI shake my head that I do not know. “So, what do we do now?”
I sit on the broken bed once moreand shake my head. “I don’t know, but we have to think of something. You knowthis means Nico is going to want me to marry him, don’t you?”
“We need a plan,” Tia states andI look at her with a ‘Really!’ look on my face, which seems to amuse her, rightbefore she laughs. “I bet they didn’t expect that fight. The look on everyone’sfaces was funny. They didn’t know if they should grab us or not.”
