My smile is huge when I show her the test. “Pregnant.”

She squeals and pulls me into another hug. Damn this woman and her hugs.

Pulling back she tells me, “Okay, I’m way happy for you and all. Super, super excited. But I have to leave, and you need to help me.”

“What?” I ask in confusion.

She bites her bottom lip. “This might sound a bit crazy.”

“Kenz, you are crazy,” I tell her.

Kenz snickers. “True story. Anyway, I’m going to slip out of here to rattle Falcon’s cage.”

Remembering how they went back and forth earlier, I grumble, “I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

“Sure it is. Seriously, fawning all over a man like him won’t do any good. Besides, I think he’s been stalking me for the past few nights, and it really does something for my libido.”

I can feel my eyes widen.

She smacks my upper arm. “Don’t give me that look, he’s harmless.”

“Harmless?” I give her a horrified look when I remember how he threw two knives at his father, one of them lodged in his throat. “The dude plays with knives and has a steady as fuck hand.”

Kenz gets a swoony look on her face. “Adding knife play to my dream man’s stalker status. Yeah, you need to help me sneak out of here. Pushing his buttons will make him crave me even more.”

I shake my head. “This isn’t one of your smutty stories turning into reality, Kenz. This could really bite you in the ass.”

She rubs her hands. “Well, whoop de doo, let’s hope the man sinks his teeth in me ’cause I’m totally down for that too.”

Ugh. Clearly all the red flags put her in a festive mood instead of warning her away.

“Fine, I’ll help with your disappearing act,” I grumble. “Follow me.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

– THORSTEN –

The men start to leave church while me, Macsen, Falcon, Jocko, and Archer are still discussing the final details.

Archer’s phone rings. “Bee, I have to take it. My old lady probably has set things in motion already.”

I nod while he walks out. Livi is standing in the main room, giving me a small smile when she notices my eyes on her.

Waving her in, I tell the guys, “Be ready in ten minutes.”

They wander out while Livi makes her way over to me.

“Archer still can’t get a location on Kayden. The fucker seems to have dropped off the planet.” I release a deep sigh. “Since we’re on the topic, Wally was discharged from the hospital. Jocko brought him home this morning and told him he’s out. With everything going on, even if he helped us in the end? There’s no way he has a place in the brotherhood. He took it as expected and is retiring.”

She doesn’t get a chance to say something about the update I just gave her due to my brother. He bursts inside the room and starts to rumble a growl while he swings his arm in the direction of the main room of the clubhouse.

“Yeah, about that…Kenz left.” Livi winces.

Falcon curls his fingers into fists at his sides and is glaring at Livi as if he’s able to pull an explanation right out of her mind.

Maybe he has the ability because Livi sighs and says, “Don’t look at me, I’m not a relationship expert. Hell, your brother kidnapped me to keep this thing between us going. You, on the other hand, have similar twisted ideas ’cause Kenz thinks you’re stalking her.”

What the fuck? Falcon grinds his teeth, and I know Kenz is right to think my brother is stalking her.
