“I don’t care.” He leaned closer. “I won’t break up with her.”

“What? Does she have gold dust between or legs?”

Declan felt his blood boil, but he restrained himself in the room full of reporters. “I won’t do it,” he said. “I’ll stick around until the end of the contract, but I won’t date anyone else. That’s over. I’m done.”

“I’ll consider it. But if you cross me, I will make your life a living hell.”

Declan’s blood was so hot that he felt it searing his veins. He glanced around at the full room. This wasn’t the time or place. “We’ll continue this later,” Declan promised.

“Hey, Bishop?” McKenna asked, reaching for a cigarette in his pocket. “Did you like your surprise guest?”

McKenna’s question was innocent, but Declan knew better. He glanced at Lady and smiled. “It was a pleasure.”

McKenna bent his head and chuckled as he lit the cigarette. “There will be more to come,” he promised.

Declan didn’t like the wicked gleam in his agent’s eyes.
