When the car finally arrived, pulling into a semi-circular drive before a grand home, Gray could feel his body trembling in anticipation. He tried to focus on the exterior of the home, but all he could think about was the ache pounding within.

The beta driver opened the door for him and offered a hand. Gray took it, not sure his legs would be strong enough to get him inside. “I’m to escort you in through the door—to make sure no other touches you except Mr. Parker.”

Gray nodded, slightly thankful he’d have the beta to hold on to. His legs felt like rubber, and he expected them to buckle at any second. How he managed to make it to the door, he wasn’t sure. Jamie whipped the front door open before they barely reached it—excitement on his face.

“Come in, come in,” Jamie said, taking one of his arms.

“Are there any alphas in the house besides Mr. Parker?” the driver asked.

“No. No others.”

The driver nodded. “I’ll fetch Mr. Tomlinson’s bag.”

“Have a seat,” Jamie said. As soon as he settled into a chair near the door, Jamie asked, “Can I get you a drink?”

“Water,” Gray said before licking his too dry lips. His voice had sounded as raw as he felt.

Jamie wandered off. The driver came to the door and lowered the bag to the floor—beside another one. He pulled a card from his jacket pocket and showed it to Gray before tucking it into a pocket in Gray’s bag. “Call me when you’re ready to return home. No leaving the property otherwise, understand?”

“Yes,” Gray answered as Jamie returned with a glass of sparkling water.

“If Mr. Tomlinson needs to leave this house, I’m to be called. You have my number, and now so does he,” the driver said. “There’s an emergency number, also, which you both have. If you can’t reach me, they can send another beta to escort him home.”

“Understood,” Jamie said.

“No other alphas are allowed in the house until Mr. Tomlinson has left,” the man added. “Just a reminder.”

“We’re all very aware of the rules, and we will follow them all to the letter,” Jamie snapped, a little of his outward excitement slipping to show other emotions at play.

The driver looked between them before heading out and closing the door behind him. Jamie handed the water over, and Gray guzzled half of it in one drink.

“Nervous?” Jamie asked.

“I suppose I am a little,” he fibbed.A lot. It was a lot. A whole fucking lot. His hand shook as he placed the glass of water on the table beside the chair. “Are youtrulysure this is the way you want to do this? We still have time for you to change your mind.”

Jamie smiled. “I’m quite happy with my choice.” He walked closer and brushed hand over Gray’s cheek. “You deserve to know how it feels to be claimed.”

Gray frowned. “He’s yours.”

“I’m willing to share him… you’re sacrificing your body for me. I don’t take that lightly.”

Gray closed his eyes, not truly understanding Jamie’s logic. He was being paid for his services as a surrogate. He didn’t need anything more than that.

Yet he wanted to know how it felt.

Desperately.

“Whose bag is that?”

“Mine,” Jamie said. “I’m going to stay at my brother’s apartment for a few days.”

Jamie didn’t want to listen to what was about to transpire, even if he’d asked for it.

An animal mating. Three days of rough sex that would hopefully create a life.

Just the thought of it made Gray moan. His back arched, his slick flowing thickly. Gray began to pant, the instinct quickly taking over.

“Let me help you upstairs,” Jamie murmured, offering an arm.
