“Okay,” I breathe.

“Caleb!” someone barks, yanking him off me. He grabs Caleb’s shoulders and shakes him. “What the fuck has gotten into you? There’s a dead body on the ground with a girl standing next to it, and you're over here ready to bend her over and have your way with her.”

“Really?” I look at Caleb wide-eyed before they lower in lust. I bite my lip and twirl a piece of hair around my finger.

“What is wrong with you?” the man asks me.

I frown. “A lot. But right now, you're killing my buzz. You're being a cock blocker. Not cool.”

He just blinks at me, like I have three heads.I tend to get that look, a lot.

“I–I don’t even know what to say to you,” he mutters. “I’m calling the cops.”

“Why? One is right there.” I point to Caleb.

“And he’s clearly out of his fucking mind. What did you do to him?” he demands.

“Me? I didn’t do anything!” I shout. “He’s the one who’s sniffing me like a horny dog.”Not like I’m any better. I wanna bury my face into his neck and get a good sniff.

My nostrils flare as I sniff the air, a new smell filling my nose. It’s not as impactful as Caleb, but that's because this man is a Beta. He smells of licorice and vanilla, and my pussy doesn’t hate it. I bite my lip, eyeing him up. Who knew I had a thing for older men? Because I wouldn’t say no if he asked for a turn after Caleb.

“Stop looking at me like that,” he snaps.

“Like what?” I ask.

“Like you want to eat me.”

I give him a slow grin. “I know something I’d like to eat.”

“Crazy fuckers,” he mutters grabbing his phone.

He goes to call 911, but Caleb snatches the phone out of his hand. “No,” he growls.

“Caleb!” The man gets in his face.

“You will not call the fucking cops,” Caleb says in a low and dangerous tone. It should have me on edge, but nope, just makes me more aroused.

“Why the fuck not?!” the Beta demands, his face growing red with anger and confusion.

“Because she’s my mate.” The words leave his lips, and my eyes snap over to his.

The older man pauses, his own eyes going wide. “Fuck!” he curses, taking a step back. He runs his hands through his hair, grabbing at the strands.

“Hold the fuck up.” I look over to see the guy with dark brown hair walking towards us. My eyes flick past him to see the tallest of them all standing back. He stares at me like he’s seen a ghost, and I frown. I don’t get a chance to think too much about it before the other guy steps up to us. “Did you just say she’s your mate?”

“Yes.” I watch as Caleb’s face shifts from murderous to excited. “Isn't it amazing!”

“Amazing? Your scent match is a killer,” the guy deadpans, looking over at me with curiosity.

“Walker, don’t be rude. She said the man deserved it.”

Walker snorts. “Oh, then yes, let's believe the random stranger. Did you ever stop to think she’s lying?”

“Hey!” I huff, crossing my arms. “I’m a lot of things, but I’m not a liar.”

He swings his gaze back to me, arching a brow. “Really? Because I remember asking you if there was a dead body behind you and you lied your ass off.”

I snort. “Well, I wasn’t just going to outright admit I killed the man.”
