“Wait... he offered to help?”
“Yup,” I say proudly.
“Savvy, what's the police officer's name?”
“Ahh, Caleb,” I say, looking at the man in question.
She’s quiet for a moment.
“Who is she talking to?” Leroy asks.
“How the fuck would I know?” Caleb responds with a shrug.
“I’m going to need a drink. Nope, a whole fucking bottle after this,” Walker mutters as he starts to pace.He looks so sexy when he’s all worked up.
“What's his last name?”
“I don’t know.” I frown, I look at Caleb. “Babe, what's your last name?”
“Holloway,” Caleb answers.
“Fucking hell, Caleb!” Walker stops his pacing to swing an angry gaze to his pack member. “You freely give her our last name.”
Caleb just shrugs. “No lies between me and my Omega, Walker. You're going to have to learn that fast if you want a stable and healthy relationship.”
“Stable?!” Walker snorts as he continues to pace again. “Nothing about this is stable.”
“Is the man talking named Walker?” she asks.
“Yes...” I say slowly.
“Are there other men with them? One named Leroy, the other Jake?”
I’m not sure about Jake, but she’s right about Leroy. I look over to the man who’s still standing from afar, watching. Is he Jake?
“Wait, hold up, how do you know my pack’s names?” I growl, feeling suddenly defensive and possessive.
“Relax, Savvy,” she warns. “Put Caleb on the phone.”
“Okay...” I hold the phone out to Caleb. “She wants to talk to you.”
He looks at the phone. “Who’s she?”
“Answer and find out,” I taunt him.
He brings the phone up to his ear. I’m not sure how, but I know Duchess knows these men. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. “Hello?”
I can’t hear what's going on on the other end, but I see Caleb’s eyes go wide. “Daphne?” he hisses.
I watch as the other two men pause, eyes going wide also. They look over to me.
Leroy steps forward, frowning. “Something you wanna tell us, Little Monster?”
I shouldn’t feel all gooey inside at the name, but I do.
“Nope,” I say, swallowing hard as he steps closer.
“Are you sure about that?” he asks, reaching out to tuck a piece of my hair behind my ear. “Seems like we know some of the same people.”
