“BecauseI’mgoing to do that. But not yet. I have a plan. He’s mine. Please don’t make me hurt you for getting in the way of that. I’d really hate to have to kill you all when I just found you.”

“She’s joking, right?” Walker asks Duchess.

She shrugs. “It’s fifty-fifty.” She turns to me. “I won’t let you kill my brother, though, sorry. Torture, maybe, but he needs to live afterwards.”

“Daphne!” Caleb shouts.

“What?” she laughs. “Okay, okay. Real talk. Here’s the deal, boys. Savvy works for me. She kills for me. But she also has her own hits for her own personal reasons. Just because she found you, doesn’t mean she’s going to stop.”

“She's not?” Leroy asks

“Nope,” I say. “I wanna get to know you. All of you. You seem pretty awesome, and well, you’re my scent matches so my body and brain are demanding you all fuck me here and now and sink your teeth into me. But that's a no-no...” I look at Duchess. “Right?” She nods. I look back at them. “So yeah, that can’t happen. Anyways, I told myself when I got out that nothing and no one would stop me from getting my revenge. And that includes my scent matches. So the deal is, you accept me and my life, or you leave.” I wanna say it’s as simple as that, but it’s not. It would be hard, so fucking hard because the idea of them leaving me behind in this house and never seeing them again makes me wanna claw my skin off. “Is what I do a deal breaker?”

“No,” Caleb says quickly. “I meant what I said before, I’d help you hide the body. I’ll stand guard while you work. I’ll be right by your side with whatever you need.”

“Caleb,” Leroy says. “It’s not that easy. We have to talk about this.”

“What’s there to talk about?” Caleb asks. “She’s our fucking Omega!”

“A lot,” Leroy growls. “I’m not saying I don’t want her, or want to get to know her. I’m saying, it’s not just us we have to think about.”

I see the way Caleb’s face falls. “We will work around that if we need to.”

“Caleb,” Leroy sighs.

“No!” Caleb saps. “I’m not leaving her. She’s mine. And you sure as fuck know Jake’s not going anywhere.” I look over to Jake, who’s chewing on the side of his thumb. He looks worked up. I want to go over there and make him feel better.

So, I do.

Getting up, I walk around the table, letting my body do the talking. I’m not even really sure what I’m doing until I’m standing beside him.

He looks down at me in surprise. “What are you doing?” he asks.

“You look like you could use a hug,” I say before wrapping my arms around his body.

Burying my face into his chest, I take a deep breath of chamomile and lavender. I’m not sure why, but tears spring to my eyes, and I hold onto my Alpha tighter.

His arms come around me, and he holds on to me like he’s afraid I’ll disappear. I’m a lot shorter than he is, so he buries his face into my hair at the top of my head.

“Savvy,” he whispers, and I can hear how his voice breaks. “I thought I’d never see you again.”

I’m not sure what to say back. I don’t remember him. I didn’t know who he was until tonight. But something inside makes me feel like I’m home, like he’s my home. Like I’m where I’m meant to be. And I don’t think it’s just because he’s my Alpha.

“It’s getting late,” Leroy says. “I think we should go home, sleep, and meet up tomorrow.”

“No,” Caleb says. “I’m not leaving her.”

“Neither am I,” Jake says, holding me tighter. Relief fills me because I don’t think I’d be able to handle them leaving.

I don’t like the idea of the other two going, but as long as I have one of them, I’ll be okay. For now.

“Alright. We’ll see you tomorrow then. But the two of us need to get home,” Leroy says. “We’ll see you tomorrow. Okay, Savannah?” I feel his hand touch my back, and I shiver in delight.

“See you tomorrow,” Walker echoes. He surprises me by running his hand down my hair, letting it linger for a moment before it disappears.

Pulling back, I watch Leroy and Walker leave, my heart hurting at the fact that they could leave so easily. I know it’s stupid, but a part of me feels rejected.

“Well, this was an interesting night,” Duchess comments. “Did you want a spare room for them, or will you be sharing yours?” I look over at her with a raised brow, and she laughs. “I don’t know why I even asked.” She looks over at my Alphas. “You two stay with Savvy. The other Omegas in this house don’t know you, and if they were to stumble upon you, they have the right to react how they see fit.”
