“Not me,” Caleb counters. “I want in on it.”

“What?” I furrow my brows.

“Fuck yeah. I’m gonna do anything and everything my Little Omega needs. She wants a killing partner, I’m there. She needs me to keep watch, I’ll ca-caw like a mother-fucking bird the second I see someone.”

“Yay,” Daphne says sarcastically. “More time with you.”

“Ahhh, I knew you missed me, little sister.” Caleb wraps his arm around her shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”

As the two of them argue like your typical siblings, I stand back and think.

Maybe I’m crazy for agreeing to something I know nothing about. But I don’t care.

Savannah is mine. Nothing will ever change that.

She might be broken, she might never be able to put her pieces in their rightful spots again, but that's okay. Our pack will fill those missing spaces.

Savannah will never know pain again as long as she lives. Until my dying breath, I’ll make sure that it stays that way.

Our lives just got turned upside down, but we will find a way to adapt. We always do.

All I know is I’m never losing my Omega again. Over my cold, dead body will I let someone take her away from me.

Even if that means leaving my pack to be with her.

I just hope Walker and Leroy come around. They don’t have as much of a personal attachment to Savannah as Caleb and I do.

He’s been by my side for years, working her case and trying to get her back to me.

If I know my pack mates well enough, I know that after they process all of this, they’re going to love Savannah just as much as I do.

I hope.
