Satisfied with my answer, he goes on. “I get access to you when I please. You’re mine to play with, fuck, enjoy. And when you leave after the summer, it’s done. I’m a man with little patience. I won’t tolerate neediness. The second this becomes something more than us fucking, it’s done.”

He doesn’t want me to get attached. It will be what it is. “Your message is clear. I have absolutely no interest in pursuing anything other than what we’ve agreed on.”

He turns his head again, this time wearing the sexiest smile. “Is that so?”

“Yep. Trust me, I have no interest in a relationship. I have plans, and they don’t include you.”

It may be somewhat of a lie. Having Jackson to myself longer than the summer would be wonderful. But it’s also a pipe dream and one hundred percent unrealistic. As long as I stay true to those facts, walking away will be fine.

“Good. I’m glad we’re on the same page.” We pull into the underground parking garage of the building and make our way to the office. Rachel greets us, and we go our separate ways. When I enter the salesroom, Noah sees me and pops up.

“Hey.” He walks up to me. “You were gone when I woke up. We good?”

“Yeah, sorry. I was restless and didn’t want to wake you, so I left and slept in my own bed.”Lies. Lies. Lies.

“I wouldn’t have cared.”

I wave him off. I’m sure he would if he knew I got up to have crazy hot sex with his dad. A wedge of guilt drives into my chest. “Honestly, you needed sleep. Did you complete everything you had to make up?” I ask, trying to change the subject.

“Yeah. Sorry about that—sticking you with my dad, that is.”And back to his dad.

I swallow, hoping he doesn’t notice the heat forming on my face. “It’s fine.”

“Just didn’t want him to get on you for the tequila. This morning, I told him that was all me, and if he wanted to chargemefor it, he could go right ahead.

Am I sweating?“Is it hot in here?”

Noah looks around. “I don’t think so. Thanks again for last night. I had fun. We should do that more often.”

Yep, it’s hot in here.“Yeah, sure. I should check in with Jacob. See you at lunch.”

I walk off, praying he doesn’t catch wind of my anxiety. Or that there will be no more tequila nights since it would be breaking the rules. Shit. How am I supposed to avoid Noah for the rest of the summer without pissing off Jackson? He’s asking the impossible. We’re living under the same roof, for Christ’s sake!

“Morning, Georgia,” Jacob says as I fall into my chair. “Everything okay?”

“Just fine.”Lies. Lies. Lies.

Fuck me.

“That was great. How do you think you did?”

IthinkI’m going to stab my eyes out if I have to keep doing this. “Good. It felt promising they’ll go with us.”

Jacob smiles back. “I think so, too. Wow—it’s already lunchtime. The morning flew by.” If by flew by, he means winding backward. It’s taken half a century to get to noon. “Wanna head down to the cafeteria?”

“Sounds good,” I reply, dreading another cafeteria salad. Someone calls my name, and I cock my head to the door, spotting Rachel. “Georgia, Mr. Blake needs you in his office.”

My body stiffens. I make the mistake of glancing at Noah. He’s already staring at me. “What does my dad want?”

I do my best to keep my expression neutral. Shrugging my shoulders, I reply, “I don’t know. Why don’t you guys go? I’ll meet you in the cafeteria.” Noah doesn’t seem thrilled with the idea but nods and follows the group. I inhale slowly and make my way to Jackson’s office, stopping at his assistant’s desk. “Mr. Blake asked to see me.”

“Sure thing. Go right in,” she says kindly. My heart races as I knock and enter his lavish office. He’s on a call, but his eyes land on me the moment I walk in.

“Give me the report by the end of business today.” He hangs up. “Lock the door.”

“What?”

“Simple task, Peach. Lock the door,” he says again, his voice stern. I do, and he gives me another order. “Come over here.” I walk behind his desk, and he pivots in his chair. “Unbutton my pants, take out my cock, and suck it.”
