It necessitated a second list of ‘chores’ they’d need to take care of, most of those included calling for appointments. Charlie had to find a dress and she took on the task of ordering the flowers since she had a good idea of what she wanted.

Sam claimed a few of the chores and then scowled dramatically as he looked over the rest. He shot a glance at Charlie. “It’s not too late to elope. I’m just sayin’ that’s totally an option.”

Charlie laughed and shook her head. “It’s too late now we already did all this work. We have to go through with it. Besides we need the wedding pictures for marketing the gazebo as an event location.”

“Right. Yeah.” He sighed and fell back against the couch with a groan.

Charlie pushed all the wedding stuff to the side and climbed into his lap, straddling his knees so she could stare down at him. “You know, there’s one thing we haven’t talked about…”

“If you’re going to confess that you’re not a virgin, don’t worry; I already know.” He said it dead seriously as if he hadn’t been the one to take care of that way back in high school.

“Good to know my bride value won’t go down because of a little indiscretion with some scrawny cowboy I knew back in the day. Honestly, it was barely worth it.” She ignored his mock look of outrage and continued, “Anyway, no. I was talking about our honeymoon. You said you wanted to take a long one but other than that we haven’t discussed it.

“Wherever we go I’m guessing we’ll need to make reservations soon. Especially with airfare being so high if you don’t do it way in advance. Do you have ideas, or should I pull up some travel agents and see what they’ve got?”

Sam tilted his head looking thoughtful as his hands came to settle on her hips. “Well now, I’ve got so many destinations planned for future vacations I hadn’t really picked one out special for our honeymoon.” He was silent for a moment and then added, “I have always wanted to do one of those Caribbean cruises though.”

“A cruise? Hmmm.” She kind of loved the idea. Sun, sand, warm beaches and cold drinks—it sounded perfect. “I have to admit that sounds good.”

“A chance to visit a bunch of islands. Maybe a little more relaxing than some of the trips I’d like to make someday. And I’ve heard… there are specialty cruises out there.” Sam waggled his eyebrows and gave her a lecherous look.

She laughed. “Wait… what kind of specialty are we talking about?”

“Adults only. There are a bunch of different kinds. We’ll have to look and see if anything sounds good, but I have to say I love the idea of a honeymoon without screaming kids running around.”

Charlie could get on board with that. She threaded her hands through his thick hair, and pressed against him, breasts flattening against his chest. “I’m in. You pull them up and we’ll look.”

But what she was doing with her body wasn’t meant to encourage him to hop online. It was absolutely no surprise that Sam’s hands glided down to cup her ass and squeeze. His lips trapped hers in a kiss that bordered on aggressive at first and then went right over the line when his tongue thrust into her mouth.

They quickly were lost in each other. The slow touches became more frenzied as the kisses went deeper. Charlie could feel her panties soaking through and a slow pulse had begun between her thighs.

He deliberately kneaded her ass where it was most sore, but the ache added to her arousal. When he finally broke the kiss and leaned back, they were both panting and out of breath. “You know, I think we got enough work done for today. We have a full list of things to take care of this week already so… why don’t we just wrap this up now.”

She sat back, and smirked. “Did you have something else in mind to fill the time?”

“Oh yeah.” There was a wicked gleam in his eyes. “Go to the bedroom and grab the bag in the closet.”

Her head tilted to the side as she wondered what he meant. “What bag, Daddy?”

He lifted her off his lap and set her on her feet. “You’ll see it. It’s right there when you open the door.”

Charlie shivered with anticipation and hurried off to grab it. “Don’t open it,” Sam called after her.

This time she obeyed. There wasn’t enough time to get her curiosity up anyway. It didn’t stop her from jiggling it on her way back to Sam, trying to tell by the shifting weights what might be in there.

He took the bag and got to his feet. “Scene time, Charlie girl. I’ve been looking forward to this all week, believe it. Now, strip like a good girl.”

“Here?” She looked around the living room.

“Why not? No one is going to walk in. I like the idea of watching the firelight playing across your skin.”

She liked it too. They hadn’t had a chance to scene in front of a fire since they’d moved to the big house. She began to undress slowly, her eyes on him as she removed each article of clothing.

Sam hooked his thumbs in his belt loops and watched. His eyes followed the movements like a coyote watching a rabbit and it made her hands tremble with a mixture of nerves and excitement. When she was naked, he let her stand there for several minutes as his eyes swept over her.

Charlie expected him to touch her, but he didn’t. His hands stayed where they were. She wondered if he was trying to build up the anticipation. If so, it was working.

“Beautiful.” There was a low growl giving the word some special emphasis. “Your rules for the day still stand. Any mistakes and I will stop and give you twenty-five with the paddle each time. Now, close your eyes for me and keep them closed.”
